This and Crackdown will be my two little virtual worlds to wreak havoc in. *glee*
Of course, it had to be reviewed by someone who's such a hardcore G1 fanboy they think including "The Touch" would be a good idea, but still a great read.
The exclusion of squishies is a big disappointment, and the less than superb graphics for everything but the robots is also unfortunate. That in mind, it sounds like a helluva lot of fun
Everybody else catch what he said about Megatron's alt mode?
Edit: Valkysas, this link was new, put it back!
This guy is obviously in the "all remakes suck" camp. Aside from having pupils, the TMNT have never looked truer to the original Eastman & Laird comics, and yet he calls them a "shell" of their former designs.
Anyway, sounds like it should hopefully be a fun romp.
Oh, so it wasnt already posted. yay.
I think the REAL question everyone is asking is:
What kind of game previewer starts off with a quote from CLIFFJUMPER!?!
I NEED SCREENSHOTS!
EDIT: Yup, the Prequel bots that are supposedly getting their own Deluxe toys are definately the cannonfodder bots. Pity the Decepticlones didn't get this much love (and no, that Attacktix figure doesn't count )
i certainly caught what he said about megatron's alt-mode.
now, the reviewer might have been told this by the game makers, or he might be making assumptions based on message board speculation.
hmm i wonder...
yes, eastman and laird, the tmnt he is referring to were a crappy remake in themselves there is another difference though as well as the pupils, the originals all wore red
Only on the covers
But yeah, I'm aware of that.
Most people I know call anything sleek and pointy a "stealth bomber" as a generic term like Xerox or Kleenex instead of referring to the three black US stealth planes. The movie Megatron we saw does fit that bill, but then again maybe they're pulling an Absorbing Man like the Hulk did... a secret no one knows about till the movie comes out.
Also, is it just me or does IGN seem to hire anyone to write for them anymore? I know this guy has been with them for awhile, but as a visitor to the site for years, the tone of their articles has become more "down to earth fo-reals this kicks yo ass yo," almost like a college intern trying to be a combination of Quentin Tarantino and a sarcastic fanboy on Mountain Dew. Thankfully most of the other writers still put out compelling, thoughtful articles.
I'm definitely seeing a "shift" though. I mean, I don't even think I can take this writeup seriously because its so off-topic and base.
Whats with this whole remake thing. I dont ever recall a Live action Transformers movie before this one. So it is new and not a remake. First time we will see live action.
This game sounds very nice. wa wa wee wa.
