It's the real selling point I reckon, I for one can't WAIT to play as either Megs or Ratchet.

Damnit, they're actually managing to hype me for this game. One more reason to get a 360. :D

I really, really want to hold on to the slightest glimmer of hope that this'll actually be halfway decent, but that cynical part of my brain keeps telling me that it's going to be crap. And seeing as 90% of game producers ('executive' or otherwise) couldn't find their arse with both hands and a map, I have a tendency to regard anything that comes out of their mouths as self-serving garbage.

Biggest disappointment - the PSP developers. SW Battlefront was rubbish, so I'm not holding out an awful lot of hope there.

*takes a breath, decides to adopt a 'wait and see' approach - pretty much like the movie itself*

You do realize that the G1 game that came out in Japan is a total heap of crap right? It's generally regarded as one of the worst games ever made in the history of ever. The Armada game is actually pretty decent. There is no chance this new game will be as bad as Takara's dismal effort.

Most likely, it's the simplest way to add 'new characters' without actually adding new characters.

Me, I'll wait for some reviews, but so far the game does seem enticing.

Is it just me, or all the answers the exec give sound like ads? This doesn't strike me as a "true Q&A" like others (ex: Furman's or Ryall's interviews)

Other than that, the game does sound promising ... but I'm not really into gaming so I can't tell a good game from a bad one from the info provided. Guess I'll wait for the reviews to decide whether I'll take the "dark path" and get a console just to play the TF game. :p

He even hints at it that at best they'll be repaints in G1 colors. Think Movie Ratchet colored like G1 Ratchet.

The guy went out of his way to mention about 4 times that the game will be 'so unique' because you can play as Bots or as Cons. Geez, grow up, choosing the evil side is not a brand new experience.

I'm guessing it'll be an enjoyable game, I hope they can put in enough cameos and nods to make it entertaining to older fans too. Whether the game will be good will mostly depend on how good the control is - since we'll be controlling the characters in robot and vehicle modes too. Tatakai failed (for various other reasons too, yeah) mostly because the transformed modes were incredibly hard to control, especially planes.

Most interviews like this are turned into ads by the guys being interviewed. I wouldnt read to much into it. :)
