Thanks goes to Allspark.com for this awesome news
Are they making the extra 'bots PSP exclusive?
They better not be.
Damn right. All those extra bots on a tiny little screen like that ONLY would be a crime.
Nice. Hehe, sorry guys, I thought this was posted already, sitting on this for a couple days now.
I haven't played any video games since the mid 80's (Frogger FTW!), but I'll definitely be making an exception here.
Nice to see it available for the PC for those of us that don't own game systems... I'm assuming I'll need a controller of some kind... hmmm...
For shame Tony...For shame
At first I was hesitant to post this, but I figured. Hey what the hell why not. It's fandom news
Watch the non-PSP versions have more than 20 characters
(I can hope)
thing is, every bit of this info is already listed here... in the thread from toyfair where I detailed the stuff that was behind closed doors. The only tidbit that is sorta news would be their number of playable characters.
as far as the number on the psp, I honestly can't see why they would put more characters on a portable game than on the "main" game that is on all the home consoles and the PC.
I wonder how many features will actually make it to the final game? As you know, developers are generally pushed by publishers to rush stuff out the door as quickly as possible.
They can put all the special features in the world in this game, but if the controls and gameplay suck, it won't get my money.
And now I am extremly happy. Cant wait to find out who the extras are.
Won't get my money anyway, as I have no video game consoles made in the last ten-plus years, and no plans.
you have a computer though.
Unique Wii control schemes FTW! (please)
Well for starters, it looks like a different developer is adapting the console game for PSP, so if they wanted to make their own changes to the game that Traveler's Tales never had in mind, they probably can. Also, if they're worried about the PSP version selling poorly, they might add extra features as an incentive. It would be far from the first time an inferior port (I don't mean that to bash the PSP at all) featured exclusive extras to compensate (MVC on PS1, RE4 on PS2, etc.)
Didn't the toyfare thread (or whichever one brought this news up) mention there would be all the movie characters and some movie-ised G1 characters included in the game as playable characters? I'm guessing there's going to be more than 20 in the non-PSP systems, if only because the movie characters will chew up a good chunk of them. It'll probably be like the recent Marvel game in that you'll have a core cast of models, and different skins... so 20 or so main models with inevitable recolours filling out the ranks.
I was so happy to read/see two letters and a number. PS2
I've a got a PS2 in the attic still, but that's my only game system. There's no way I'm missing this (bought the PS2 just for Armada), so I guess I'll just wait for the PC v PS2 reviews.
Still, I'm gonna have to rent it to play on a friend's 360 and eventually PS3 just for the graphics. And the same goes for the Wii if there's funky gameplay.
