Out of curiosity, how much are you willing to put into this project? Making a fan animation will take time even with the best team you could possibly assemble, as you will need to coordinate between team members, work on any given part of the fan animation at any given time during production, and be ready to dedicate a lot of your free time to working on this.

If you are serious about this, then more power to you, but from looking at your request it seems you don't really have this thought out as much as you probably should and moreover just came up with the idea of making your own fan animation on the spot.

    First of all, this.

Second, I'd be willing to help with certain things, like details regarding characters (ideas for characters, bios, design input, etc.) among other things.

What is the project going to be about? Why should people be interested in helping you? Are there samples of your writing or ideas available somewhere for them to see? What parts of the project are you going to take care of? What about your ideas do you think are going to change transformers?

If you're pitching your ideas as a way to get help from others, you need to really sell them!

All I can find on your youtube channel is some opening credits for various sci-fi movies with the actor's names changed. What else can you show potentially interested people?

    Also useful would be:

-what kind of art style are you going for?
-do you intend to make episodes or a single project?
-how long do you expect the process to take?
-what kind of commitments would you be looking for from people who sign up?

Sorry if it sounds like I'm being hard on you, but then I guess the next question is "why should they?"

It doesn't sound like you have any idea about what you're doing, and people are unlikely to sign onto a project they know nothing about, headed by someone without much of a history. They would be taking a risk that the entire affair could be a miserable experience.

There's a lot of fan projects out there these days, and a lot of them fall apart. How can you assure potential crew members that yours won't, and why should they sign on to make your ideas into a series instead of somebody else's (or their own)?

You need to make a pitch for your project that attracts people, but maybe at this point you should think about taking a step back, planning it out more, and then looking for people to help with it.

If you don't know, then how will you form a "crew"? As Aernaroth said, it seems clear that you have no concept of what you're potentially trying to do beyond "making a fan series". How do you know how many people you will need? How much are you willing to invest into this project? Simply making something like a fan animation is not as easy as simply trying to attract a group of people together with a non-existent proposal in the hopes the old saying "a thousand monkeys with typewritters will eventually produce Shakespeare's Hamlet" proves true and your group manages to make something worth while without any real goal.

You know people, Irony is a funny thing.

For instance, this thread having more answers than the thread about the models of the actual, full-fledged CGI fan project .

See Dredd, THAT is how a fan-project looks like. When Galvanitro started his project, he offered us CGI models and solid proofs of his skill, he told us everything about the project and what it entailed. In an organized way. Problem here is, all of this sounds a bit...empty, thus far [unlike Nitro's project].

That's great! Can you tell us how you're going to do that? I'm interested as to what direction you want to take transformers, and it would be really helpful to people who might want to help you, I bet.

So how do you know what you're doing? Have you done stuff like this before? Can we see examples?

Autodesk Maya would probably be the best for a series (it's what I'm using for mine).

People need to know more about what you want to do before they'll help. I feel truly lucky that people were willing to take a chance on me when they signed on to be voice actors, before I had made any models.

But I made sure to be very clear about everything, use great grammar, and really show what I wanted.

And now I feel great that I can finally share things with them, and everyone else.
