Just got back from Hong Kong I was there by coincidence the day they launched this exhibition / mall show in early July. This is Grand Century near Mongkok. Along with huge displays of everything from G1 to Japanese series to BW to Car Robots to Galaxy force etc, they also had big models of Optimus, and transforming cosplay. The highlight of the exhib is a HUGE 2-3 storey tall movie Optimus figure. It doesn't move, but the eyes do light up. http://www.flickr.com/photos/49555018@N00/...57621369896786/
Bah, the giant Prime doesn't transform. Fail! I kid, I kid. Glad you found this while you were in HK mate. Were you able to hit the Mongkok shops for Transformer toys?
I think we saw something like that just recently. But the one I saw had a really big head and it was shorter looking. This looks badass!
Hmm, as far as i know, it would be a lot smarter to go to Yau ma tel, as i happen to know there's a mall there with lots of TF, and other Jap merchandise. I got most of my TFCs there a while back.
Mongkok, yaumatei, saiyongchoi, sugar st and a few others. Sadly I didn't find any really great bargains. Too many ROTF going for or above retail. All I ended up with robot wise were the legends Megs and Jetfire. I did buy a shitload of anime figures tho
