    My only problem so far with HOS is when Bumblebee immediately changes from a "beastwars" type transformer to a switch engine. He looks cool and all, but the change just bugged me. Its to say, any transformer at any time can choose whatever forms it wants.

    I don't know if there is precendent for this somewhere, I'm sure someone more knowledgeable could answer that.

    Sweet it looks like the Decepticons are building there under water base. I wonder if we'll see some of Megatron beast form.

    Certainly not in G1, but IIRC the A/E/C trilogy bots pick their alt mode pretty much in that style.

    I prefer G1's and BW's way concerning the "reformatting". (Nope. Not Beast Machines' reformatting)

    Can't speak for the 'toons but at least in the Armada comic, yeah, they did that. Bugged me there too.
