Note: For you're viewing pleasure, this topic should be read with respect to this thread

After a hectic four weeks off, I'm going back to university. Hectic partly because I've been revising like heck for an exam and partly because I've been engauged on a totally secret MOC project (My Own Creation, it's a Lego fan term) as an extention of my earlier work in the field of knocking the socks of the late, unlamented Built to Rule.

The fuits of my labours follow for your delectation!

Plot précis: On a future Earth, full of hover cars and hypersonic travel and where warfare is now the domain of drones, a Decepticon spaceship has been discovered and the occupants reactivated by greedy scientists. Led by Starscream, they have instigated a plan of conquest involving the robots that support the human world. Fortunately, an Autobot ship has also crash landed. Led by Ultra Magnus, the heroic Autobots stand against the forces of evil, threatened by both Decepticons and the unscrupulous conglomerates that control Earth's reasources.

In deep space, the Great War rages, the Decepticons hindered by Megatron's disappearance and epidemic infighting...

Suspicious of Starscream and the fact that Megatron's mortally wounded body has vanished from their ship's medical bay, Sixshot sends a message to the Decepticon communications hub. At the same time, Ultra Magnus, realising how badly out gunned his forces are, desperately tries to contact Autobot Command for reinforcements. Neither gets exactly what they expected...

    Now, read on!

    Soundwave:

"Crys and screams are music to my ears."

Arriving in responce to Sixshot's summons, the dreaded communications controller, second only to Megatron, sets about discovering just what has happened to the Decepticon emperor. Adopting the form of a war-drone command unit, he uses his mental abilites and complete control of the airwaves to easily infiltrate the Earthern military. This, however, brings him into conflict not only with the Autobots but also with Starscream and the newly arrived Pyrobots...

    Thanks all!

    Laserbeak and Buzzsaw:

Twin servants of Soundwave, the 'killer condors' are renowned throughout the Decepticon Empire as rutheless and dedicated in the execution of whatever duties they are assigned. Whether it be interogation, espionage or assassination, their capabilities are exceptional for beings their size. Possibly the only ones who have Soundwave's complete trust, their reputation is such that all Autobots have standing orders to shoot them on sight.

    Ta!

    Autobots, as promised!

    Heatwave:

"When the target gets going, I get tough."

    Function: All-Terrain Assault

As the Pyrobot's rough terrain specialist, it is Heatwave's job to seek out geographical features that can be used to the team's advantage. He has a genius for creating traps to snare fleeing fugatives but tends to place too much faith in his weapons systems when it comes to all out battle. In hover-tank mode, he is exceptionally manouverable. His main weapons are two highly accurate solar cannons.

    Ashmaker:

    "Leave nothing but cinders."

    Function: Heavy Assault

The fact that his team's purpose is the capture of war-criminals has not quite registered with Ashmaker. He has an unfortunate tendancy to shoot first and shoot again...and shoot some more. Being an excellent shot, a capable warrior and a decent tactician doesn't quite excuse the fact that any target faced with this one-mech onslaught is unlikely to come out the other side in a fit state to be questioned.

More Pyrobots most definitely coming! Muhahahaha! :D

Thanks! The larger ones are a little over a foot, the smaller ones between 8 and 11 inches (20-28cm). Barricade, the smaller Decep up there is 28cm tall.

    Hothead:

"Never give the other guy time to think!"

    Function: Shock-trooper

Words like 'strategy', 'planning' and 'restraint' are so far outside Hothead's dictionary that it's doubtful if he can even pronounce them. Forever charging off into the distance and flying off the handle over the slightest whiff of Decepticon fumes, he is totally useless when an operation calls for stealth. Fortunately, he is expectional at his designated function, something which many criminals have found out to their cost...

    Pyrelighter:

"Run now and you will only fall later."

    Function: Pursuit

Once he's locked onto an enemy, Pyrelighter will stop at nothing to bring them down. He is capable of tracking targets across entire hemispheres before bringing them down in a blaze of superheated swordsmanship. A patient, calculating counterpoint to Hothead's eagerness, he is nonetheless zealous in the execution of his missions.

    Ta!

    Right now, final two...

    Razorblaze:

"Know your enemy well and yourself better."

    Function: Aerial Assault

A seasoned warrior, Razorblaze was asigned to the Pyrobots in the vain hope that he might be able to forge them into something useful. Much to everyone's surprise, he did. While Wildfire is technically the commanding officer, it is this master swordsmech to whom he turns for advice and strategies. As dedicated as his comrades but with the self-control to back it up, Razorblaze is the reason the Pyrobots are so good at their jobs.

    Wildfire:

"Doubt is the most dangerous thing in the universe."

When he was picked to lead the Pyrobots, Wildfire seemed the perfect canididate. Unfortunately, the cycle before he was transfered, the unit he was commanding was wiped out. His self confindence destroyed, it was only through Razorblaze's help that he got the group through its early missions. Time has somewhat restored his abilities and he effects a dangerous air but Wildfire is still plagued by doubts that could one day overwhelm him.

    There we go, all six.

And I've only managed to rip off Halo, Tron and numerous other computer games in the process of making them!

One more little update coming soon...

I like how you used actual bricks to make Soundwave's head.

The sticker faces are nice, but nothing beats a truly three dimensional face!

Eventually, eventually. Can't do any more for now - stuck at University - but I do have plans...

Well, you've met the mechs, now for some team shots:

    The Pyrobots:

With the borders between Autobot and Decepticon territory in constant flux, there is the constant possibility that enemy units will be caught on the wrong side of the dividing line. When this happens, the Pyrobots are dispatched to intercept and detain. A mixture of warriors and trackers, their task is to ensure that these stray units are brought in for questioning before they can escape. Given that they are authorised to carry out their duty by any means necessary, the Pyrobots are not overly liked among the Autobots and have a feared reputation among the Decepticon rank and file.

Now I seem to remember saying that it was a damn stupid idea to try and build a six-changer out of lego (see Sixshot in the first thread, link in first post). Hah! Nowhere near as damn stupid as what I've done for my finale this time round!

    Incinerator:

“Decepticons are just delayed spare parts.”

    Function: Super Warrior

The Pyrobots' combined form is a fearsome and formidable warrior built for raw power above anything else. Relatively stable given how disparate his components are, Incinerator will still quite happily tear a planet apart to get at a target. This dangerous combination of strength and single-mindedness means that he is relegated to last resort status, only called on when every other strategy has failed.

    Unsupported in these shots!

    Head:

    Action:

    [IMG] [IMG]

    Scale:

That would be Incinerator, Ultra Magnus, Jazz, a human and a Lego Robot in there.

For the next 9 weeks, that's all folks!

But I'll be back with, among others, Nightbeat, a Decepticon call Cryptic and (potentially) two versions of a certain Emperor of Destruction (and in not quite the manner you'd expect!)
