I guess I have a few grails in this new line to search for years down the road.
I want this BAD!
Wake me when they make an exspensive pinball machine. Like the pinballs in arcades.
yeah unfortunately these little licenced pinball machines always suck as pinball machines. Usually they have all of about 6 active elements in the machine, which is about what this one looks to have (4 bells and 2 bumpers?)
Well technically they'd be for "family fun centers" and not "arcades" but I know what you mean. I like this table because I remember seeing stuff like this in department store catalogs as a kid and thinking how cool a pinball table would be. (especially one with transformers ghostbusters or ninja turtles on it.)
I'd expect a real pinball machine to be made when the sequel comes out though depicting the first movies characters.
I would'nt buy this table because of how uninteresting and breakable it looks.
but its better for completists than the crazy ride on arcade jet we saw earlier.
bring on the transformers movie slot cars!
I remember getting something like this when I was little. Even as a kid, after a few rounds I was thinking, "Man, this thing sucks." Never had much faith in the home-based pinball designs since then. I'd rather have a real pinball machine.
he's doing it wrong.
That kid looks photoshopped on.
either that, or...
$100 bucks? Yeh, this will compete with all those other game systems out there.....oh yeah....he'll put down his WII for that shitty looking thing...you know it.
Its priced about right. I don't know if its the same company that made the Pirates of the Caribbean and X-men mini pinballs that you could find at Best Buy. Those 2 games started off being sold at 2 to $300, later on they were clearanced at half the price. Of course the mini pinballs don't compare to the full size arcade ones that go for 3 to $4,000. I could see Stern pinball doing a Transformer full size pinball in the future, but probably won't see it until the third sequel. Right now Stern's newest pinball game is Spiderman. I suggest you guys check it out, one of my friend's actually did the programming on it! I myself play in pinball tournaments all year round and know a lot of people in the pin industry here in Chicago. If anything develops, you guys will be the first to know.
I doubt you'd be able to afford it, new pinballs cost around $4500.00. I have a couple of pinballs now, and I've been thinking about what would happen if they made a new Transformers machine. I'd probably buy it.
looks lots better than the kiddie only vibrating space race thingamajig
Yeah, I'd rather buy a real $5000 pinball machine and not waste $ on a cheap-o, sucky, pinball machine.
I still have a battery-operated G1 Transformers pinball machine from 1984. Still works too.
Hollywood what pins do you have? I have a Shadow and Johnny Mneumonic which I won at a couple tournaments. Also have Flight 2000, Getaway, and Star Trek Next Generation. Looking to pick up a Dr. Who in the future.
