    Japanese dub?

Does that mean it'll have the "Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers" intro and music and all?

Tho I can definitely live without hearing the dub itself. Shout! should just include the Japanese intros and credits on the American shows on some DVD release as an extra.

pretty cool selection of episodes. I think I'm going to have to get my G1 DVDs out sometime and have a proper marathon of them.

i thought the whole point of candy toys is to distract annoying crotch fruits for 30 minutes while mommy and daddy do grocery shopping, now with a included dvd wouldn't the kid just keep bugging the parents to go home so he can watch it?

I missed this bit of news while I was out of town last weekend. Until I saw the BBTS listing they put up for $45 for a box of 8: Transformers G1 DVD Legend - Box of 8 - Transformers DVD & VHS G1

Candy and DVD's? Definitely a creative way to repackage the old episodes. I won't be getting any myself since I have the Matrix set already.

Oh, and for the record? Fuck region coding.

I went ahead and picked up one of these "DVD Legend" things and what came
packaged in mine was the DVD, an advertisement for DOTM toys, and a single
    piece of gum (yellow flavor?).

I'm glad I picked this up because it contains a Japanese intro, logo and all.
There is probably an official name for this intro. From the menu screen you
can jump to three points within the episode (like choosing different chapters).
And you can skip to the end credits.

It's actually a lot cooler than I expected it to be, so I'm happy with it and
I will probably pick up the other seven.
