I'm going to point out the TFW2005 nod right now ;)
It's on the top of page 20, look at the Railway system bridge. Lockdown gets his reaveal at the end of the issue.

So far this is alright. This isn't as mystery driven as Ironhide but it still keeps me wanting more.

I never really liked Shane's writing. Mostly because of what he did to the whole continuity when AHM came along. But I gotta say..... I'm REALLY enjoying the Drift series so far. It's got a pretty decent story. I kind of actually like Drift. I also LOVE the fact that they threw a certain bounty hunter into the IDW/G1verse.

The continuity cock ups were the fault of IDW being dodgy about whether Furman would ever get to do Revelation.

Essentially IDW told McCarthy to write a completley new Transformers G1 story picking up from the end of Devastation and leaving things like Hunter/Sunstreaker, the Scorponok Machination stuff and the Dead Universe stuff really ambiguous in case Furman got the go ahead for Revelation and Expansion (later cancelled). Hence the "One year later..." at the start of issue 1 of AHM - it was put there for when IDW eventually pulled their finger out, and it's also why things like Hunter and Sunstreaker's past weren't touched on until the second half of AHM (by which time IDW had made a choice).

^ Yeah, even though IDW never has, and probably never will, make any statement supporting this, all evidence points to this being 100% true.

'Revelation' was the last piece of that whole 'Infiltration', 'Escalation' and 'Devastation'? That sucks.

There was meant to be one more (Expansion, which was to be another 4 issue arc) but that got the can, hence the last two issues of Revelation, Spotlights Double Dealer and Sideswipe, are very rushed and as a result not that good (especially Sideswipe, which is about 3 issues crammed into one).

I can't wait til WTF Book Club 04 goes up. I am digging this series more than I expected, and it has certainly changed my opinion of McCarthy to an extent.

This is the second time TFW2005 showed up on comic art, I believe. There was another instance where TFW2005 showed up on a poster in Sam's bedroom if I recall correctly. :D

    Good issue.
The art was much clearer... I don't know if it was colouring or just composition but it was easier to follow along. Great guest stars, but I found the story a little straight forward and kinda like filler. Set up foreshadowing, Check; Set up friendship, Check; Twist ending, Check. Issue #2 is a tough one to work though, but there wasn't enough there, or more specifically it wasn't told in a fashion to make me be thrilled with it.
