not really a review, more of a gallery.

still nice, and still jealousy rages.

Sweet collection man. The only one I have is Gurafi and it's missing weapons. :(  I would love to get my hands on a complete Dairu for sure.

I would laugh so hard if they ever re-released these, and wait for the "I have the original's" posts.

Though I still hope the Squawktalk/Beastbox & Grand Slam/Raindance combiner cassettes get reissued as well, I'd be fine with these dino-cassettes getting reissued as well. Hell if the Scorponok and/or Black Zarak mold is still intact as well, reissue Black Zarak too while you're at it with some adjustments so it doesn't suffer from gold plastic syndrome like the original.

If this happens, I eagerly anticipate the board crashing under a deluge of 'OMG I HAVE THE ORIGINALS AND NOW THEY ARE DEVALUED RAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE' threads.

I'm all for it, mainly because my brain doesn't have the justification powers to drop hundreds on a few grams of plastic.

If Botcon 2007 has taught me anything, it's that (if Encore-Dinos actually did come to pass) for every asshole that goes "FUCK everyone else who wants one! I want to lord my rare expensive toy over the masses!!", there will be somewhere between two and five assholes who will go "I bet those guys who spent huge money are feeling really stoopid now! Tell me where they are so I can point and laugh!"

I always thought they were neat but mostly because of their rarity. I'm not really feeling it so much anymore though.

Be nice if someone made KOs. :)  Actually I think I saw a KO of one of them in some of the multicolored batches you used to see. I doubt it still had the combining ability (and I don't think its partner was necessarily in the same assortment).

Please please please let these and Squawkbox and Slamdance be Encore cassette packs 4 and 5....

The people that paid hundreds for Stepper eventually got over the reissue. Maybe if they get reissued they'd paint the stickers on so they can at least be different...

Thanks for the comparison shots with Slamdance and Squawkbox. Decibel and Legout are shorter than I pictured! Gotta love those dino modes though, I think a big reason for the tapes' appeal has been the robotic beast modes. I'd love to see them displayed with Overkill and Slugfest!

Other than the drool-worthiness of their rarity, what's your take on them as figures, in and of themselves?
