It's a shame when so many true artists are serving the opposite of an artist, AKA whatshisface, filmmaker.

This is actually awfully sweet (nice). I'm glad they gave this shout out, but it should be... longer

The sound team truly does deserve the win!

The visual effects.. imo... not so much, true DOTM has the BEST cgi.... and the WORST!

This is what you get when the movies get to big, you gotta use everyone possible to render these things.. and it shows, big time.

A cool little shout-out for the visual effects and sound teams - definitely Oscar-worthy.

Every big, visual effects-driven movie suffers from this. Whether they're Oscar-nominated blockbusters like LOTR, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Pirates of the Caribbean, Transformers, whatever. Every project has its "turkey shots", because, as you stated, you simply run out of time, money, resources, etc., and are unfortunately not able to put the 200% that they usually put into it.

But DotM has some of the fewest "turkey shots", in my opinion.

What are people talking about? I noticed no bad cgi except for Sam getting dragged around by Starscream. Everything else was amazing. They deserve the win

Well for me, when Optimus transformed and said "You lied to us", it just didn't look right and the part where Bee and Sideswipe were flipping through the air on the highway looked really fake. The CGI was amazing, but there were times when they could've done better.

A lot of movies have been nominated for these same three awards; it's basically the trifecta of "you had some really cool tech stuff".

And DotM's story was also present. Just as present as JP's. :p
