im having trouble guessing....but is ultimate prime about the size of a leader class

 

They say normal 'bot mode is the size of an Ultra, but with all that armor,
he looks like the size of a Supreme.

I love the gold paint apps on Ultimate Prime.

They really make it look like he doesn't... He could be another armada prime stuck forever in the A-pose.

 

My personal opinion on Ultimate Prime.


Truck mode looks decent, but not perfect.







Looks like the MechTech Weapon stores right under truck mode.



Even unpainted, trailer looks nice.



Robot Mode invokes power, sorta like Cybertron Prime.

Looks good overall. Even if he's not accurate, he still has potential to be a good toy.

 

I wonder if his Trailer is in scale with MP Prime or the New MP Prime coming out soon?

 

Ultimate optimus is a disappointment bec. it is not movie accurate. Wings are too long and too many wings and no jets. Armor makes optimus look like he is in a body cast and makes optimus unable to move. Head is also too tiny. I am a completist so I will probably buy it anyway but I won't be in a hurry to get it. The giant mechtech weapon is also too large. I would've preferred 2 guns.

Jetwing optimus is more movie accurate but I won't get it unless there is an american release of the toy.

That said, yeah so awesome...I especially love the styro replicas of Prime and Sentinel. Ass-kickingly good.

 

I'm personally in love with this Prime. I usually buy toy for play potential and this guy seems to have it in spades. No doubt, it's a buy on sight.

So I guess around July 21-24 we will get to see the SDCC Ultimate Prime exclusive which I assume people will be able to get there. So I assume also that will be the only way to get him before the non-exclusive one comes out in August. Well here's to seeing the SDCC exclusive Ultimate Optimus.

 

Not the worst bot in the world, but as I did with rotf Devastator, I'll only buy it if I find it at a drammatically discounted price.
Also I'm going to wait and see if they release a western version of that voyager Prime+trailer. Then a leader class Meg that scales with it would be the last step to total awsomeness!
