If you have a mobile phone and you go to Transformers: Dark of the Moon | Trailer & Official Site | , it will redirect you to mobile-optimized site, TF3 which confirms the release date of the movie on blu-ray/dvd

thanks to BozQ from Blu-ray.com forum

    update1:

take this with a grain of salt if you like but a member from blu-ray.com claimed to be working with the studio, mention that 9/6/2011 will be the announcement date from Paramount. Also, this release does not contain 3D, the 3D will be release later during holiday, ie. Christmas.

    update2:

According to Nelson, this release does not include a Special Edition set, just the movie+dvd+digital copy.
Special Edition set will come later at the end of the year.

    Freaking. Awesome.

After being disappointed this evening hearing about some pointless and/or bad changes to Star Wars on Blu-ray, this is wintastic :)

Cuts down on piracy if they push them out faster. Plus they can make a killing in the home video sector. $20-30 a pop adds up quickly. On top of what it already made.

I will be there at 12:01 to buy it, and have it playing in my 7.1 HTPC by no later than 1:00

    Hell yes.

Weird, I thought I had confirmed this a couple weeks ago. I've known for a while since I moonlight at a video store.

All three movies were quick out to DVD after their theatrical runs. Thank you Paramount.

    So no two-disc special edition?

Well that sucks :(  or is the disc big enough to hold both the movie and special features?

Cool, hope Amazon gets it up for pre-order soon. I still need to get around to picking up TFTM07 on Blu-Ray, though.

Assume there will be an IMAX special edition DVD. That's the version of RotF that I bought and prefer.

IMO, there won't be a IMAX version of DOTM. it was not shoot using any of IMAX's cameras.

That's too bad. Since it was shown in IMAX theatres, I assumed there would be an IMAX version. Looks like the first and third movies will be non IMAX DVDs.
