We have come across a page for a development firm supposedly handling some of the duties in creating a Transformers Cybertron video game entitled "The Quest for Cybertron". Brooklyn Games has an image online showing some scenes from the development. Of note, this is copywritten to 2005, and no word has been released prior to this about the game, other than a general possibility way back when the Transformers Armada Video Game game was out. So it's possible this was just a development that never fully realized.

Thanks to Numlock for the heads up.

Update:

Got word from Jason Crawford, Producer and Game Designer for Brooklyn Games:
So, while people may not be digging it here, the aim is for kids. Yay.

From the screenshots, it looks like Optimus Prime's force key power is grabbing his waist. GO OPTIMUS PRIME!

If that screen is part of the game it looks horrible. I'd perfer it if they just went with the armada style.

I'd love to see a new TF game on the next-gen consoles.

So ... is that "Eye Toy" technology? If so I guess that means it was going to be a PS2 game ...

... pretty weird.

Haha, wouldn't it just be appropriate if it was due out on the PS3?

So, the girl in the bottom middle pic is freakin' me out....(if that's what it is). When I saw that, I immediately thought of that horrible eyetoy technlogy as well. Maybe when you curl up in a fetal position on the ground, the TF in the game transforms? lol

Hmm, hadn't heard anything about this...sounds like a concept design by a small indie outfit that seems to have gone 'pop'.

Shame.

Horrible Eyetoy technology, lmao. The ability for a small inexpensive camera to track motion, color, and render a simple object like a tenis ball into a weapon on the screen. And the ability for that small inexpensive camera to read the symbols on "cards" and create the monsters which the cards represent and later move them in real 3D space is horrible technology. What century did you return from? Please bring me a PS5 from it. I'll pay you 600 bucks.
