    Is that good?

If so, it's surprising to say the least considering the story still really isn't going anywhere...hopefully it has a strong conclusion but the ongonig and it's sub story about Bumblebee has been disappointing. At least ongoings art has been good...

Its a shame, most should be reading Wreckers. Then on going and then Bee.

Still its pretty stable, for as long as I note there are about 12-15,000 TF comic fans. No more, no less.

In addition: CBR blasted both Ongoing and Bee. It will be interesting to see if sales go up or down.

Funny for all the complianing, BB sold more.
(BTW are these retail sales or what shops ordered?)
I wonder what the total numbers of the top books are? (guess I should look)
This really has become a fringe industry. No wonder everyone is lamenting the fall from where we were in the early 90's.

I think my webcomic got more hits at one point.

Hmm only two titles hit six figures.
Only the top 30 sold more than 50k units.

So I guess the next question is, what's the cutoff point for profitablity?

If TF fans are buying 12-24k books a month that's somewhat stable I guess.
Any corporate type that expects to double that figure overnight though could cancel the series.

I wonder what the #'s for Dark Horse's Knights of the Old Republic were, they cancelled that pretty abruptly.

Yeah, that's funny, since Wreckers is certainly the best among the 3 of them... though also it started later, and features fewer well-known characters.

I do like the art in Bumblebee the best though... more mood and more coherency than either of the other two.

i really have no idea if those numbers are acceptable or not, but i hope it doesn't discourage IDW from making more mini-series like last stand of the the wreckers because it has been by far the best tf book lately. keep up the great work nick!

That's a shame Wreckers is way better than ongoing.

Well, I think it might have sold so few copies because nobody could find it.

What 2 were delayed due to a truck shipment accident? I think it was BB and the wreckers. I can't seem to find them. I heard they were to be shipped again but can't recall when that was gonna happen

I'm kind of getting annoyed that people keep saying the Ongoing isn't going anywhere. We're only 4 issues in but have gotten so much character development and a radical obliteration of the status quo-- Autobots fighting Decepticons.

Costa is doing a fine job keeping readers interested, and I'd rather he take the time to build things up than Pew Pew every two issues. I'd be more inclined to take it as a valid complaint if we weren't also getting two other series to complement it. It seems we're finally getting a larger scope with the stories, so let's try to roll with it.

Edit: I'm not trying to bash anyone in this thread, but I'm just writing on what I've noticed in some of the other threads here and on other boards. On the whole though, it seems people are reacting positively to the Ongoing, and overwhelmingly positively to the Wreckers. Sorry Bee.

Yeah, that might've fudged with the numbers a lot. I got BB 1 or 2 weeks late and Wreckers #2 this past Wednesday. In other states it's been out what-- a month?

Nobody's fault of course, and we all hope the truck drivers are okay.

Anyone have the Ongoing's sales numbers for issues 1-3?

Yes but conflict is part of a story. How long are we to be milked until we are invested or polarized to a side?
The humans were tough in issue one and are now softening.
    Prime gave up.
    The Decepticons that could left.
The Decepticons that were left, defected.

There is no conflict. Remember English class: Man against man, man against nature... blah blah blah... what is this story?

Issue #4's climax was a procedural debate between Magnus, Rodimus and Prowl?!

Sales numbers are based off copies ordered through Diamond (and thus purchased by comic book stores). It is not based off when the comics arrive at stores or how many are bought by customers.

The storm that ended up causing the unfortunate accident happened long after these sales numbers were determined.

Ongoing has held their numbers well. The first issue was a little higher, probably given the amount of hype put into it.

Last Stand and Bumblebee, however, are bleeding numbers.

    Ongoing #1 - 15220
    Ongoing #2 - 12516
    Ongoing #3 - 12609
    Ongoing #4 - 12221

    Last Stand #1 - 8862
    Last Stand #2 - 5744

    BB #1 - 10205
    BB #2 - 9021
    BB #3 - 8537

I agree. Most of what has happened up until now makes zero sense. Several of the characters are acting totally out of character and I literally yelled at the last issue of the Bee comic for being so incredibly stupid. *Jane! Get me off this crazy thing!*

Don't get me wrong, I like the quality and attempt to do lots of new things with TF stories.

I applaud IDW in their fostering creativity with the art styles, and story lines.

Its just time to pick it up and do something with it.... work out a good ending to a story line. There are too many false starts.

It bums me out LSOTW is so low on the sales ranking but I could not find it in 4 comic shops around Dallas...I feel the demand is there but supply is not.
