Got mine in today. Everything looks great except for the "Scouter" painted over his left eye. I don't mind it though. I think it adds a bit of character. Besides, it's not nearly as bad as T16skyhopp's.

Just got told mine came in today as well. Can't wait to grab that box and open it. I'll put armor on it and take some grimy cel phone pics for ya.


Edit: Here ya go. I didn't put the wing tips on the back of Protector mode because I don't think it would look right anyways. But the armor on Sideburn...the results are better looking than I thought.

Just got mine. It had some really messy paint apps on the wheels. Smeared paint everywhere on 2 of them. Nothing I couldn't fix, but a little annoying. The white paint on the shins is also a little messy, with over-spray being very prevalent on the left leg. It also feels a little floppy compared to other versions of the mold, but it suffers none of the mold degradation that the second run Battle in Space version suffered from. The pearlescent/metallic blue plastic looks fantastic and the colors work really well on this mold.

Overall, I'm very happy with it!

 

Just got mine this afternoon and no QC issues to speak of. Straight wing tips, crisp paint apps, tight joints, overall very pleased. Great reuse of the mold.

 

Mine has one loose shoulder and the paint on the head looks like it was applied with a q-tip. I'm just glad it free.   Wouldn't have paid for this in a million years.

 

Got mine in today and I love it. Great figure! No QC problems or poor paint apps here.

 

Mine has the q-tip paint job on the head like stated above. Also, the white paint on the arms looks like someone fingerpainted it on. I'll keep him in that sexy alt mode. It looks really awesome.

 

no the old lenticular cards were only printed with the energon repaint figures...it had their bio card on one side and the membership thing on the other...

My dion had a folded up piece of rectangular paper in it when i got it stating the next free figure would not come with a bio card..that they were going to have it available online to print out...whatever though, glad they are still including the bio card with the TF.

 

can anyone PLEASE provide a pic of this figure with the shadow scyther armor? I know someone out there has it. thanks!

 

Got mine today, I'm liking it more than I thought I would. While everyone else thought he was gonna be the best Club Freebie yet just by virtue of being a Classics rendition of an RiD character, my thoughts were more along the lines of "Rodimus' mold is rather dated and doesn't really look like Side burn." But, actually having it in hand, it is a very nice piece and I'll enjoy putting Side Burn in the G1verse.  

 

Got Mine with the following GC issues:
Right shoulder joint basically falls out with the slightest movement
the back pack does not stay in place(flimsiness)
and the Q-tip head paint job on the face which honestly is the part that pisses me off the most.

Anyone know which way is best to contact them for qc issues like this to get a replacement

 

Got mine today, and the only complaint is the paint job on the face. So is the missing paint on the right hand side of his face intentional? I thought it was a QC issue on mine, but from all the pics I've seen he's missing the yellow on one side.

 

he's supposed to be like that, just like the original figure.


I got ine and am loving it... Everyone petition fansproject for a protector repaint for this! All it needs is an extra weapon and a different face/head and it'd be an amazing upgrade.

Got mine today. Not really interested in him so I don't know if I'm going to take him out of the bag. He certainly is a beautiful blue.

yeah it's just tight. took some doin' on mine to turn it the first time.
