    Mindset & Turbo Tracks

    Special Ops Jazz & Fallback

Looks like the new promotional thing after Hunt for the Decepticons for the yellow-boxed "Autobot Alliance" line will do more than just add a new sticker to the front-- the packaging now has blue plastic inserts, as well as a blue "Reveal the Shield" subtitle under the Transformers label now. Looks pretty cool, if you ask me.

Savvy of them to split up Jazz and Tracks like that...

No worries, I'm only buying Jazz out of that whole wave. :p

And savvy of Hasbro to obscure the faction logo on the package as well. This explains the new "pre-titles" in place of the "Autobot Jazz" style of name, and it also would work well for kids...they actually might have to open the package to figure out what faction the figure is. That's kind of fun. Heck, I wouldn't know for sure what side Fallback and Mindset were on if I didn't scum this site every day, and it's a brilliant promotion for people like Wreck-Gar.

Now everything makes a whole lot more sense. Now the brand will truly be unified.

    Never underestimate their cunning.......

Heheh, I didn't think of that when looking at the packaging-- yeah, their allegiances are completely obscured, at least on the front.

"Hey guys, Decepticons continue to not sell as well as the Autobots... but we can't stop making bad guys for our good guys to fight! What do we do?"
"Not tell the kids what allegiance their toys are until AFTER THEY'VE ALREADY OPENED THEM! Mwahahahaa...."

I'm still buying these regardless of line or packaging.

But aren't all these toys supposed to be Autobots?

This explains a lot! Like why we are getting those Voyagers that seem like Generations figures, but they weren't supposed to get voyager figures. Generations and HFTD are being combined into the single line/promotion.

Maybe they are doing this in preperation for TF3 and/or TFP.

    Mindset is a Decepticon.

Oh, and FYI folks, the Club Store also has 2011 Wave 1 Generations deluxes for preorder--individually-- but no pictures yet for those.

    Wait a minute......

Are they not gonna have bios. Because if they do, wouldn't that just give away their allegiances anyways? :lol

nice to see the old temperature sensitive faction stickers are back. but to design and market a campaign around it seems a bit much. Ah well. I planned on buying them before this, but now that I see the badges, I want them slightly more.
Now If HASBRO would make 12" versions for my car...

^ Depends, some of them will give pretty big hints, but someone like Fallback could easily have an ambiguous one.

And Mindset should be a 'con, but I actually heard he was a 'bot.

Anyway, I half-expect this is the excuse Hasbro concocted to pump out all of these super-obscure classic characters. They are so MYSTERIOUS! :lol

I like the use of PCC Translucent blue in the packaging. More importantly though, since Jazz & Tracks are in the main line they'll be easier to find at retail :D

Rubsigns are awesome, and actually USING them to hide their allegiance is pretty clever.

I love how the new legends have them too.

Makes me wonder just how many "Generations style" toys we will end up with. I found Tracks and Jazz not being listed as Generations at first pretty weird, but I figured the possibility of combining Generations into the yellow card line might increase the longevity of similar new releases. Will be interesting to see.
