For those wonder if there's going to be a Vol. 4 of the classic Marvel series, here's the Amazon fish: Amazon.com: Transformers Classics Volume 4 (9781613774977): Bob Budiansky, Ralph Macchio, Various: Books
I still hate they don't include the Headmasters mini in the correct place. That doesn't make any sense at all. They've handled this wrong before and have had all the time in the world to realize their mistake and to fix it.
Didn't the Titan Collections of years past collect all the issues including the marvel characters and have the Headmasters mini in the same place? Or have we forgotten about this?
But don't the Titan collections miss out some of the stories featuring other characters like Spider man?
The Spider-Man story is in the Titan TPB, Beginnings, which reprints the first several issues. All the Circuit Breaker stuff is in, too.
No, that was the first round of IDW "Classic" Collections. Titan DID miss out a few issues (#33-34 and #43) that were non-essential to the main continuity. A silly decision really as many of the TPBs ended up being only five issues as a result (the norm was six) and was done so as "not to confuse readers" which is a bit insulting to the average reader's intelligence (esp. given that the Titan books had some liner notes/introductions as well). Titan didn't reprint the Animated movie adaptation either, which IDW is. Despite the frustrating decision not to present things chronologically, the latest IDW seres is going to be the definitive collection of the US series. I suspect there'll also be a volume of G2 material this time round as well.
