That's exactly what I said when I saw the thing. It looks just like the movie version of Dredd's Lawmaster.

 

Why do the early pics have to be so damned crappy??! Looking at the pictures some more, both figures look like they could kick all kinds of ass, but damn those pics are weak. Heres hoping some better images come along, fast!

Prime looks good, but I'm not entirely sure if I'll buy it. Between G1, Powermaster, Hero, Laser, Masterpiece, Hybrid Style, Alternators... do I really NEED another G1 Prime? But hey, when a color photo comes out, maybe I'll like it so much that I wont be able to resist.

As for Megatron, the picture looks kinda iffy, but I have to say that I probably WILL buy him, if for no other reason than the novelty of finally having Megatron as a gun again. That alone is enough to get my dollar. Plus I have to assume he'll be more posable than G1  

I have to agree with other people who are feeling iffy on this line, though my reason for feeling iffy is stupid: They're too small to fit in with Alternators. I know, I know, Alternators isnt G1, but I dont really care. It's not like I have money or shelf space to be throwing away as is

 

Those sure looks like "Alternators detail meets Cybertron Playability" too me

Coolness. Yeah clearer pics would be a plus. But I'm really digging both. Like the alt mode for Prime. Looks big and powerful. Cool to see Megatron a gun again. It'll be interesting to see how he looks with clearer pics.

 

Oh hell yes. I cannot wait for more pictures, and more importantly, the release of this line. I will buy every single one. Possibly twice.

 

MINE MINE MINE. Optimus Prime, beautiful. From alt mode to robot mode. Simply beautiful. Megs, I cant really see much but I love the gun mode and I hope he has a fore arm mounted fusion cannon.

 

They both look pretty good...I'm not a big fan of Megatron's 'wings' but I'll wait for clear colored pictures for final judgement...looking forward to them nonetheless!

 

It's hard to tell because of how faded that area is, but it looks like Meg's head was modelled very closely after the original's. And I'm not convinced that he doesn't have two hands just yet; theres a lot of space next to his arm cannon where another forearm just like his left could go.... again, if only they were clearer.

 

I had to go back and look for the rubsign...and yeah i totally think thats what that is...my nerdgasm just went stratospheric.

 

I think I'll reserve judgement till a later time. However, I hope that:

*Prime's gun looks more like his G1 self. Because it looks kinda weird.

*And I hope that Meg's arm cannon is actually mounted on top of a normal arm. Honestly Hasbro/Takara, is it THAT HARD to make Megs have an arm mounted cannon?!?

Based on those pics, if they want Prime to be the same size robot as Megatron, he won't come with a trailer. Otherwise, his price point would be higher.

 

Prime looks awesome. And hopefully Megs has a mounted arm cannon and not a cannon arm. This is the Megatron I've been waiting for since forever if he has a mounted arm cannon and a helmet head.

Hmm, they look like they could go either way. Optimus looks a little better based on those pics.Can't wait for detailed color shots.
