does hasbro have any plans of Re-releasing more Wave 1 classics such as bumble bee, mirage, cliffjumper, starscream, etc etc. when wave 2 comes out? maybe mix them up and ofcourse more of wave 2 than 1. Or maybe two packs(wave 1 and 2 mix)?

    thanks

As far as we know, there are no plans to re-release any Classics 1.0 figures, let alone wave one. Also, if my memory is correct, Mirage and Cliffjumper weren't wave 1 figures for Classics 1.0. We are getting a repaint of the Starscream mold (Acid Storm), but that's the closest to a re-release of any Classics 1.0 figures that I know of.

i hope they mix in older figures, that way people who missed them can get them, and i dont have to buy every single figure that comes out either...and i could get extras for customizing too...

IIRC isn't there a Mirage redeco as a Wal*Mart or Target exclusive too?

hasbro has mixed and released older ones with new ones in the past. hope they'll do it again . I wonder why we never got the Classic 2 packs in the US? We've got Energon 2-pack basics but not classics.

Ah, forgot about that, but it's still not a re-release, and it's technically in the movie line.

Re-releases don't seem to be their thing. Re-paints ofcourse, but there haven't been many straight up re-releases, that I know of anyways. I think some stores did get the two-packs, just that it wasn't a very wide thing, though I could be wrong there.

    Classics is dead.

Long live Universe (it never died!).

In my opinion, both lines as we knew them are dead. This new Universe line, while it shares the same name as the old one, is essentially a completely different line, imo.

I do feel for the people who may have gotten into the TF collecting after the TF movie and are now seeing Classics 2.0 but missed out on all of the wave 1 stuff.

At least you can get Bumblebee out of the Wal-mart 3-pack. Him and Prime are the only two MUST HAVES IMHO. The rest are really nice but not needed unless you are going for a completionist set.

how could you leave of Mirage from your "must haves" list? you're nutty! :p  his poseability is off the charts. I love the Megatron mold too, even with its shortcomings. I wish the fist was upside-down with how it was released, and wish he wasn't quite so back-heavy. but he's still very articulated and a nice sculpt. He's amazing with proper silver paint covering allll the grey plastic too

Actually all the Classics Wave 1 are MUST HAVES. Easily the best Transformer line for updates, articulation, and design. There really isn't a horrible one of the bunch.

I don't really like the mirage character. While the whole first set is great, if you had to go back and spend like 50$ to get as many classics 1.0 figs as youc an, I think you would start with Prime and bee then go down the list.

    This.

And yeah, I doubt we'll see any re-releasing. Though I guess with the 25th anniversary next year there could be some sort of set with maybe Optimus, Megs BB and Starscream. Never know.

No, Japan did him in his G1 'toon colours. ;)

I certainly think it'd be nice to see a few early wave moulds re-released within the new Universe line, though I doubt they'll do it, as each old product they release will likely mean they can release less of the new stuff (that is, the old stuff would take up shelf space). I can't help thinking, though, that it'd almost be worth them re-making the Starscream mould, considering how many uses they can get out of it, knowing we'll snap 'em up... :p
