If the Autobots and Deceptcions were participating in Marvel´s Civil War, wich side the would certain transformers be? For purpose of this thread Megs and Prime don´t count. Also cons and bots would be mixed.

    Something along this line:

    Anti-registration side:

    Bumblebee
    Hot Rod
    Thundercraker
    Kup
    Jazz
    The Dinobots
    Stunticons
    Wheeljack

    Pro-registration side:

    Prowl
    Combacticons
    Protectorbots
    Skywarp
    Soundwave
    Shockwave
    Perceptor

Wich other would be on each sside?

I see no reason for the Decepticons to be pro registration unless they wish to gain the list of registered heroes to kill them.

And I see no reason for Transformers at large to even be registered.

Okay... this is a pretty ridiculous question. Wow.

But yeah, the Combaticons were war criminals weren't they? Wouldn't they be anti-regulation? :)

Ironhide would have to be pro-registration. He's the security guy, and you'd have to set up the conflict between him and Kup as the old-timers with opposing ideologies.

Red Alert... really is there even any question?

Pretty sure Megs would be pro-registration.

"Freedom is the right of all sentient beings"? Prime's Anti-registration.

the Transformers already have their own civil war to deal with on Cybertron. That's... sort of the reason Autobots and Decepticons exist as seperate factions. Except they already know who everyone is.

Well, while I suppose that this seems like a rediculous question I can see the angle he's coming form. Also, it's something that Marvel would have had to address if they had been an active part of the Marvel Universe at the time... in a hypothetical stance of course...

Personally, I can see the Autobots attempting to ignore the whole thing while fighting the Decepticons. I see Prime mainly issueing orders not to get involved because it's the humans political issues and not their job to choose sides in it just to protect the Earth from the Decepticon menace.

Adversly, I can see the Decepticons attempting to use this to their advantage by taking full advantage of the ensuing chaos and maybe striking up a deal with Ironman sense Tony is such a dick that he's started empoying villains now. I can see him and Megatron working together.

Tony: "So, if I give you free fuel you'll help me round up all the "anti-reg" guys right?"

    Megatron: "Trust me fleash creature..."

Not to mention Megatron's "Peace Through Tyranny." It certainly sounds like a paraphrasing of what Tony Stark's been spouting since he started the Civil War.

But then, it also sounds like the mantra of some real-world politicians I could think of. Whoa...! Civil War is a thinly veiled metaphor and commentary on current politics? Who knew? ;)

Besides - the Decepticons might do what many of Marvel's villains have done: wait the Civil War out and then make their move, knowing that the superhuman community is in shambles.

I imagine the Autobots would be exempt anyway, since they're neither human nor American citizens.

If the Autobts and Decepticons retaned their Marvel Main-U Status on 616 there would have been no need for Civil War in the first place; a paltry little thing like the catalyst for Civil War would be nothing compared to the massacres Decepticons like Trypticon could cause while fighting Metroplex, we'retalking City Sized Transformers dukeing it out crshing everything in their path despite Metroplex's best intentions.

Ipso Facto; Civil War = Non-Existent if Autobots/Decepticons Existed still on 616.

For the purposes of this thread however I could see Swindle trying to pull off some kind of deal with both sides; we are talking the ever opportunistic weapons dealer after all. And the Insecticons might get involved with the act; according to their Tech Specs they like pretending to be friends with the enemy in order to mess them up big time psychologically speaking.

I'd see the Autobots being pro. They're usually passive to Earth governments. Except maybe Libya's.

Magneto was out of action during Civil War. :)  And I imagine that even the Master of Magnetism would be challenged in battling a large number of giant robots....
