Start out a kid on a little plastic "potty chair" in the bathroom, when they get old enough you detach the "bowl" and set the rim on the regular toilet so they don't fall in and help them transition to the real toilet. So in effect you end up with a toilet on a toilet for a little while.

 

Shortround shall forever be on the receiving end of a stick... or potty in this case.  

 

Training potty, lol. He was lucky he wasn't crushed.
