Yuck, I don't like the look of it at all. Guess, I'm just stuck on G1.

I think I'll give it a chance. Although, as many have stated, I dislike the animation used. Just like any series, it has potential to become good, but the animation can become a distraction from that goodness.

It may grow on us. I'll just wait and see.

I don't see what's the big difference between animation in G1 and this? Aside from the fact that this is cleaner and more consistant, and it's also more animated (ha!) and oriented.

The series is gonna rock. The voices they have set up are top notch, and unlike animes, it's not a redub, so the voices will be more natural like BW. Plus, the character cast is awesome and it will be very in depth and have a deep plot. (unlike G1)

i think they mean they dislike the style of the art and character designs. not the actual animation.

Still, I don't see the big difference besides alittle more detail and some more streamlined body shapes. It's still close to the old boxsuit guy looks.

TF: Animated is stylized in a way I find unappealing, I don't like the robot designs or the exaggerated proportions of the robots (that is I don't like the way they are exaggerated, not the fact that they are exaggerated).

That said, the cartoon appears to be very well animated and they have lots of good voice talent and apparently lots of nods/homages to G1 in it. I'm probably going to end up liking the cartoon despite not liking the designs.

Animated will be the best thing to happen to Transformers since, well, the movie brought in millions upon millions of new fans.

And it has the most amazing, most addictive theme song ever.

It will have only a cult following at first, like Beast Wars, but will expand and eventually become a classic series, like Beast Wars.

Give it a chance. Trust me!

Armada had a good storyline, even if mistranslated half the time. Armada Starscream was the only character to receive any type of characterization in the entire AEC trilogy.

    A cult following at first?

    Oh no, Kickback. I disagree.

It will not be a cult following. Back in the day of Beast Wars, it was the infancy of public access to the Internet, when most TFans were fairly isolated. It brought in a lot of people who weren't Geewunners (like me) who didn't actually join the fandom until much later.

Animated will bring in kids, and I expect that it will convert a large amount of the current fanbase in no time. That's not exactly a cult classic.

I'm not HUGE on the designs myself, but they look awesome in action. I'm stoked to see that the Transformers are actually ANIMATED (when I say animated, I mean as in doing more than standing around stiffly like robots and barely moving)
