    Down Voted! ;)

I think Spielberg gave him that idea or something like that, and then Speilberg left the scene.

Thank Primus that he has an actual face. This is my main request for the reboots. I love a lot of the movie designs (at least the simplified toy versions that don't look like shards of random metal) but their faces almost always look like skulls or insects. Or Insect skulls. Bayformers Bumblebee looks like a skull wearing a s&m fetish gag ball and under a bright happy yellow helmet.

Will he look like this in the movie? That would be nice.

First movies not long think even 1 of the comics mentioned it, latest movies centuries/forever. They can't fix everything they screwed up.

Let's hope so, And knowing Travis Knight, he might use that design. I hope.

Because i've never felt so lustful over the yellow autobot. No Robo-homo.

Prequel comic sounds like it'll be a fun romp. Like the design changes too. Hope it gets a toy. That'd go amazing with Evasion mode Prime and Target Exclusive Jazz. From the looks of it, the toy would be a simple retool on the head of the VW movie version. Glad the movie version is keeping the more in continuity style though. But comic art can vary up aesthetics more. Plus gives an excuse to sell an extra version of the same mold.

You mean a WWII file was classified, and he was designated as a secret weapon above most clearance as well as designated as a top secret piece of hardware and not as an alien cybertronian so it was harder for S7 to recognize him? Seemingly as if someone wanted to keep him from being dissected by S7 or imprisoned as well as keep him as an asset? I mean it's not like government agencies ever keep secrets from each other, or that squads may bury a report to protect an asset. War has a lot of stories that many dismiss as hyperbole or exaggerations because of the stress of situations. Higher ups may have not included some details in their reports because it was too outlandish to pass up to their superiors as well, while other reports may have designated ZB-7 as a military classified weapons project that was entirely "man made".

And you mean like how in the 80s an Agent may grow fond of him in the movie, and decide not to report Bumblebee in his after action report/debriefing, for fear of what S7 may do to him and how they may try to hunt him specifically?

I mean it's not like things like this ever happen in fiction like at all. No fiction ever has a protagonist make friends with someone that's hunting them or a group they work with, to have an inside man that can cover their tracks when needed or takes a shine to a protagonist because they see how good natured they are in how they are looking out for others and aren't an actual threat. That's so absolutely unheard of in fiction like ever.

In the first movie, Bee did pee on Simmons pretty quickly like he was annoyed at S7 for far longer than the movie had shown. That kind of childish brazen contempt isn't something created from a barely 20 minute history. It had a tone of extra contempt from having his fellow autobots there to back him up and not having a need to stay in hiding from them anymore. Gives more emphasis to that moment of Bumblebee relieving himself on an S7 higher up after years of holding it in from the frustrations they've caused while Bee was trying to help humanity. It goes from a childish moment to a straight up "you've been pissing on me for years, now I get to piss on you." Kind of gives those S7 scenes more dramatic weight in the first movie when you really think about it.

Bee's new look is nice. I certainly hope the rebooted IDWverse will get to use more of that art, and I sincerely hope that face is what he'll have on his new toys in Studio Series.
Anyway, one thing I find odd is that he has his face showing. If I remember my canon correctly, shouldn't he have the speaker-mask (Bee's 'mouthpiece' from the movies) up from after the battle of Tyger Pax?

Been a cynic about the TF movies for years now but I'm loving Bee's look here. Feels like it could exist in reality but it captures the essence of his classic design.

You know that’s the point right? It’s meant to homage bond, the authors have said as much.

Yup but comic art can vary it up more. Like how IDW had changing aesthetics through the years. Comics and animation can do any kind of art really, and it's still all continuity to the main that uses a different art style or even design. Now granted this isn't directly continuity as tie-in comics 99.9% of the time never get kept to what's on screen as continuity with only maybe 1(used to be 2) exceptions.

It's a hype building comic. Supposed to bee a fun to read and make you excited for the movie. Possibly sell an additional toy or two too while at it.
