Some call him Goldfender, but the name's Bee... Bumblebee. On loan to MI6 and teamed with a human partner, Bee's trapped in the middle of a Cold War plot to disrupt British Secret Intelligence. But when things go wrong, it's up to Bee to discover if there's a traitor in their midst. In the spy world, allegiances can change just as easily as a Transformer.

*The prequel to the new Bumblebee film (coming this winter), geared toward a younger audience!

Goldfender is a pretty great pre-Earth name for Bee. I dig it.

The story sounds kinda interesting too, will check it out.

Why is an alien warrior "on loan" to anybody?

Because TLK established he was working with the British army in the mid-20th century, and being "on loan" is a common way of describing when someone working for one organisation temporarily goes to work for another one.

So if he's in England, he should be working with Roddy. Given that in TLK, they both raided Hitler's mansion.

Goldfender, a play on Goldfinger. SMH

I'm so buying this is as my first in hand comic book. I mostly buy digital as I'm afraid I might accidentally rip the page when I turn it. I might just keep the comic on a book case, and read the Digital Version.

Prequel Comic line is my absolute favorite aspect of the Live Action Movie Franchise. So it seems like Michael Bay's tie-in material ban is truly lifted.

Two things I noticed with this reveal:
    1. The prequel comics are releasing in-conjunction with the original date of the Bumblebee movie instead of the December release.
    2. Writers' Room canon may no longer be applicable as they did not leave any room for tie-in prequel and sequel comics[?]

I think it’s be funny if Charlie calls Bumblebee “Goldbug” at one point during the movie. :lolol

More “they were always here and working with us all along”. He fought in WWII and helped MI6 but somehow Sector Seven needed to capture him...
