I'm guessing having Barricade revealed for example may spoil something they've been saving for the trailer—or something similar.

Cougar? Ravage? A new character? Holy crap, there can't possibly be 4 robots characters in this movie?!

I starting to think that way but at the same time wondering if these 2 new names are toyline only and if they'll get something beyond energon igniters.

Hasbro haven't really done non-screen characters en masse for a while. It's be neat maybe, but I'm really starting to wonder if the "only 4 robots in the movie" thing is either outdated information that changed after we found out about it (or the guy that said it wasn't informed of this change), or if maybe it was misinformation?

I highly doubt Lorenzo di bonaventura gave bad information not saying he didn't make the change for number of characters. But I don't think he honestly would have said 4 if it was going to be that or even changed.

Pretty sure he’s not the one to inform the guys that show up at shows of what’s going on. Someone at Hasbro could’ve gotten the information mixed up or just forgotten to tell the guy that said that last year, if that’s what happened.

    Okay wait.

The Hasbro product code number E0755 previously appeared on UK wholesaler A.B.Gee's website as "Transformers Gen Studio Series Voyager Destroyer; SKU: 285 E0755". The A.B.Gee listing is no longer accessible, but I fortunately linked it with a full writeup in this thread.

So does this mean there is no additional mystery Studio Series Voyager Class figure, and "Destroyer" was instead a mislisted Energon Igniters Nitro Series Bumblebee?

If Amazon India didn't mislabeld the model number, then it may possibly be that it's for Nitro Series Barricade.

I meant Barricade, not Bumblebee. My bad.

    Found another one:

Transformers MV6 Energon Igniters Action Figure - Stryker 1

Now "Stryker" has previously been confirmed multiple times as a code name for Bumblebee himself.

What if a Transformer named Cougar is a sexy femmebot with a 40-something-year old voice actress? :lol

Seriously speaking though, "Cougar" could mean anything.

Edit: Or maybe Bumblebee has a Steeljaw look-alike as a pet?

    Maybe.

Personally speaking, if there was a Beastformer I'd love to see in this film it would be a Sharkticon. The California coast is home to great whites, leopard sharks, angel sharks, and more. It would only be appropriate.

A Sharkticon attack on the Boardwalk would be something I'd love to see. It's extremely doubtful to happen I realize.

I'm probably not gonna be buying any of these, but I'm slightly interested to see what they look like. The gimmick sounds neat.

These code names (which are shared between the Bumblebee Movie line and the Studio Series line) are all taken from Australian race horses. Their selection has no bearing whatsoever on the character. "Fox" is Megatron. There's no deper meaning behind it.

As I said before, these code names serve the purpose to identify characters internally without using their actual identities. This is not a mystery movie where the writers create a puzzle the audience is encouraged to solve before the main characters. They're definitely not going to make it easy for you to figure it out by deliberately using reasoning along the lines of "animal character = cougar". That's not how these code names work.

Simply put, you're looking for a method where there is none.
