I'm getting a bluray player for my family this xmas, but Transformers isn't even in my top 300 titles to get on bluray. DVD is fine enough. I can't make heads or tails out of the blurry fight scenes, and since it was made blurry on purpose by ILM, not much benefit to get it in HD.

Nice gesture tho. I'd rather they just drop the price of the discs to $19.95 rather than $29.99 - $39.99. Thank god for Netflix.

Fantastic. Will be picking this up ASAP.
Can't wait to see the amazing fight scenes in HD, they already looked great on regular DVD so on Blu Ray it's going to look even more amazing.

    Love this movie.

I'm tempted but I can't see buying a new player for this movie. It'll have to wait.

Passed on the DVD so I'll pass on the Blu-Ray as well. A few moments I liked, but not enough like bits to pay for those few bits.

The review was a fun read though since it seemed to jump back and forth between glowing praise to stuff I might say about the movie. The segment about why the robots couldn't look like something where we'd go "hey I know that robot" might be cool to watch. A pretty good sounding long list of exrtas in the set. I just can't see having to go out and buy a Blu-Ray player and then the movie just to get those tidbits.

I wish I had kept the receipt from the DVD from "10 months ago". Geez, I can understand why they need it, but I don't usually keep receipts from DVD movies, since I know that if they are busted, most people will replace them for the same title without a hassle.

Could that first paragraph be any more raving format war fanboyism? Good grief. It makes me not even want to finish reading the review. I'm glad the movie is coming out on Blu Ray and will probably get it, but the format war is over, buddy. You can step down off the defense wall now.

I'd be pretty excited if I didn't already buy it on HD DVD. Stupid HD DVD. I have a Blu Ray player too, but was buying both sides equally for a while there.

You only need the proof of purchase tab from DVD insert and the receipt from the Blu-ray purchase. Not the receipt from the DVD. And this will be purchased 9/2 @ 12:01 PM. 24 hour Walmarts FTW!
