Thanks to Marvel.com for posting a teaser trailer for the upcoming Transformers/Avengers crossover miniseries.

Nothing too revealing or special, but for those who want to view it can do so by clicking here.

While I am excited for the book, that has to be the lamest "teaser trailer" I have ever seen. It is basically a picture with music behind it.

While I still think this is going to be pretty cool, it could be even better if the Marvel Universe wasn't so f'd up right now.

    No kidding.
Like, since when was Spider-man's origin magical?
    A spider totem? Puh-leeze!
The Scarlett Witch can recreate the entire universe?
That's some serious "probability" gpoing on there.

But, my favorite bit of stupidity is that now, somehow Bobby Drake actually turns into ice when he is Iceman. So, he can survive being decapitated and Havok offered to "pee" him a new body.

People actually looked at those panels and thought: That looks like a good idea.
Pee is mostly water and Iceman's head can freeze water. Brilliant!

The Ultimates line of books is good, though.

Even though this book is going to be outside of any continuity, it would be cool if there was a reference to Transformers #3 Guest Starring Spider-man.

It's pretty clearly not set in 616 Marvel continuity anyway, so I wouldn't worry too much.

That part of his powers is pretty old. Since he got fucked up by the white queen, at least.

Actually - it appears that it might be.

Bill Rosemann kept emphasizing that the story is a more natural fit in the 616 then the Ultimate universe, and that the story takes place prior to the start of the Civil War.

Body made from pee = lame. No matter what.

Marvel may want this in part of their continuity, but I hope that IDW does not.

Don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to the book.
I wanted the Transformers and Avengers to team up since the 80s.
I thought they would, but then, Marvel kind of booted them out of the main continuity.
