This may just be exclusive to the Australian broadcast of the Olympic opening, but I'll continue.

So I'm not watching the countdown to the opening ceremony on channel Seven, when a friend pops up on MSN, saying that the Autobots theme from the movie is being played over footage of the march. I turned on the TV, but missed it.

So I'm watching to see if this happens again, because this sounds AWESOME.

EDIT: I think they might have done it again, but the commentators were being too loud.

 

Wouldnt completely surprise me if true.

Here in the US they've been using the Brisco County Jr theme a lot during the last couple olympic presentations.

 

All of a sudden Im thinking of the episode where the autobots compete in a race with some aliens; Jazz, Blurr and Wheelie participate.

 

They actually used the Autobots movie theme during the Superbowl too.

 

I heard it too. But something was diffrent about it.

 

It wasn't Jazz, it was Munka Spanka.

 

No, no, no. The announcers were reading out the results of another race - it was Jazz who won!  

 

Wasn't Liberi Fatali from Final Fantasy VIII played at an Olympic swimming event?

 

But the Transformers ARE alien themselves dude.
