I think by "gods" he just means "supreme rulers." It could also be taken the same way we would use the expression "gods among men" to refer to great people.

Incorrect. Primus is the creator of the Transformer race, which later branched off into factions. Unicron persuaded Megatronus Prime (The Fallen) into joining him on the side of Chaos.

But even in the expanded media (adaptations, "official" prequel/sequel comics, etc.) Primus and Unicron were NEVER mentioned, right?

I'm genuinely asking here, mind you...I kept up a bit but haven't read most of the prequel/sequel comics yet.

But as far as I know, they never really went there.

Neither what Daitarn said, nor my comment is exactly correct. Mostly because this is the Movie Discussion, in which the AllSpark is the big Kahuna, and Primus is just the first Cybertonian.

My correction was more Aligned Continuity, I suppose. Daitarn is not correct at all, as Unicron never created his own race(I could be wrong), he just jacks wayward baddies that wander to the dark side and gives them makeovers.

 

well the Comics prequels explain movieverse Primus is the first transformer ever (thus meaning Prima was not the first tf in movieverse, jsut like in G1 acccording to what i read in TFWIKI) and the direct ancestor of Sentinel Prime and the Original 13 Transformers (or at least the 7 primes)

meanwhile the UK comics have Cybertron as beign Unicron (but in the alternate continuty which Megatron won the mission city battle, so Unicron apperance is non-canon as it takes palce in a parrarel universe)
