Hi guys, here's my first time doing a simple review of Transformers Animated Wreckgar. Before I begin, TFA Wreckgar is IMHO one of the better looking voyager class in the TFA line. Both the vehicle and bot modes are very, if not close, to their cartoon counterpart. Let's set the ball rolling.

Here's some pictures of the garbage truck.

    Transformation

The transformation of Wreckgar isn't very difficult. From what I counted, there's basically 8-9 key steps in getting Wreckgar from garbage into robot form. I don't have a video cam, so I will do a pictorial transformation here.

Step 1 - Loosen the hands which is underneath the truck
    [IMG]

    Step 2 - Turn out Wreckgar's head
    [IMG]

Step 3 - Loosen the truck front top
    [IMG]

Step 4 - Lift up the garbage bin
    [IMG]

Step 5 - Turn the front wheels in and fold the truck front inside the empty garbage bin
    [IMG]

Step 6 - Fold down the legs and turn out the hands
    [IMG]

Step 7 - Push down the grey tap and move the black plastic against the body
    [IMG]

    Step 8 - Transformation complete

    Wreckgar's Accessories

Most previous pictures have already shown Wreckgar's only accessories/weapons. They are pretty detailed in design. Other than the two cutters, there's no other accessories that comes along.

    Wreckgar's Articulation

The articulation of Wreckgar is not too bad. The hands and legs can turn 360 degrees. The only weakness in articulation comes in the head and waist. Due to way the head is attach to the garbage bin, you can only turn 360 degrees from left to right and vice versa. You can't move the head up and down. The waist has minimal turning ability due to the grey part I mention above.

    Wreckgar's Gimmick

There's not much gimmick in the robot form, but only in the truck form. Think most of you should have seen it in action.

    Size Comparisons

I will do just two size comparisons for now. Any other size comparisons will be done if it's requested, no problem. :)

The vehicle mode Wreckgar is same size as that of Voyager Prime's alt mode.

Wreckgar is taller than Grimlock and shorter than Voyager Prime.

    Ending comments

TFA Wreckgar is no doubt, one of the more accurate TFA toys out in the market for now. The height is good, the face has lots of personality and the transformation is fun. Only weakness is the articulation and maybe the gimmick which can be done better, but I think it can be easily overlook.

Overall, I think Wreckgar deserves a rating of 4.5/5. TFA fans will be not be disappointed with this figure for sure. :D

*Sorry if the review is amateurish. First time trying it out. :) *

Can you post some pics of him with ratchet? Maybe some with Lugnut?

    Good review by the way!

    Looks pretty awesome.

Although it's a shame his alt mode lifting arms don't go anywhere in robot mode.
I think they form his hip armor in the cartoon.

Looks awesome, can't wait for him to show up in stores. I really hope somebody make san accessory kit for this guy with a ton of stuff he used in the show. How about a pic next to Blitzwing, they never showed up together but they're both awesome & funny.

Seconded on all counts. Mine's stuck in customs, but I've been dying to see some good transformation pics. Thanks, and like others have said, excellent pics/review!

Excellent all around. He really needed a stop sign weapon, though.

I really wasn't expecting to want him, wanted to get Atomic Lugnut before but his gigantic backpack sold me, I'll get him first, I love when characters get backpacks, either as some kind of accesorie or just kibble and Wreck-Gar got a GIANT STORAGE KIBBLE!
