So I apparently like customizing this mold a lot ... Here's my latest creation: Transformers Animated Windblade I got the inspiration to make her fairly recently. I thought the concept of another Autobot flyer would be a cool idea. Why should her friends Jetfire and Jetstorm be the only ones having fun in the skies? I also previously made a custom TFA Chromia (based on DJW's art), and so I felt that her partner also needed to join the TFA universe. it would also be a chance to improve my sculpting skills for other upcoming projects. Made from the standard deluxe TFA Arcee, she's got a custom built head made from Apoxie Sculpt and styrene. She also "borrowed" a pair of Cybertronian deluxe Megatron's wings (I originally planned to scratch build them). The deco is based as much as possible on Sarah Stone's current amazing artwork on the Windblade mini-series. Not all the details are there, as I wanted to hold back a bit to keep the TFA aesthetic. We'll have to see if I ever revisit this mold yet again. People have already thrown out Nautica and Crasher. We'll see. Maybe 6 is enough by now... Small update - More details and photos are up at my blog post about her: http://www.floatingcat.com/2014/05/31/transformers-animated-windblade-custom/ L-R: Drag Strip, Moonracer (custom), Arcee (touched up), Chromia (custom), Windblade (custom), Minerva (BotCon 2011 customizing class) Another update: Comparisons with the Generations Windblade toy.
