I asked earlier today if the seller was going to be putting up the Prime for auction, and it looks like they decided just to add some more pictures of it in the auction for Lugnut. Looks pretty cool for a prototype.

Huh...didn't notice the faceplate could be removed. Personally I'll be leaving it up, as I'll have pre-Earth Prime to represent him with his mouth, and this one to represent his face-plate. It's nice to see them using the cool gimmick again.

And, it's on a figure I might actually use that feature on. No nose bandages on this Prime.

    Heh.

I've grown fond of the mouth on Kaye's Prime to be honest - and given that he'll likely have faceplate off for most of the series it makes sense. It's a VERY cool gimmick I can't wait to fiddle with. It was a good idea on the Cybertron Prime (which I never bought, however) and it's an even better gimmick on this one.

just checked the auction with the updated Prime pics

He's looking pretty sweet, especially in bot mode! His ears remind me of movie Jazz'. I hope he has good articulation in the legs there.

Prime looks awesome! I had no idea the faceplate was retractable! He really is something incredible as far as toys go. The sculpt is flawless!

He looks to have very good articulation, and no kibble! I like haveing the option of a mouth or mouth guard.

Huh. So the mods saw fit to separate this discussion from the Lugnut thread.

Oh yes indeed! This is huge news, and it deserved a thread of its own.

I'd like to say thank you to the seller for putting up more pictures, and to Ravenxl7 and all the others who asked for more pictures of Optimus.

No problem. I asked the seller that has the Bulkhead in package for sale, but, no reply as of yet. I was really hoping they would, but, oh well.

Not really digging this look TBH. The bar on Voyager Prime toys has been set pretty high over the last few years. My main problem is the truck mode, it just looks too.....distorted, I guess. More so than any of the other Autobot earth modes.

Sorry to tell you this, but, no, it's actually where a gun goes, or shall I say, the rocket part of his rocket propelled axe (or whatever it's called). Also, might as well tell you now, Hasbro has said that they will no longer be making trailers for TF's, as they are too expensive to produce.

Edit: You can get a somewhat good look at it here and here.

he's supposed to have a trailer that turns into a ginormous axe, or something similar.

If I remember what Hasbro said at Botcon correctly, there should be another piece for the back of the vehicle that turns into his weapon(s). Though I'd love a bot like Overload from Armada who can become a trailer (maybe as a third mode?)

He's a firetruck. with a water cannon. I like it. Here's a pic that shows the backpiece.
If you look closely on the backpack you can make out a massive detachable axe. as was rumored as the third mode of the figure.

I saw that too!!! I wonder if it'll stay blue or that they will paint or use grey plastic for it. What ever they do I know it's the first thing kids will break on it.
