Maybe some form of Engrish since they are all so familiar with the term 'Anime'?

Anyway it's still lol-worthy. And it's still a 'cartoon'. And awesome.

Seems like somebody mixed and matched (and retraced/recolored) existing art and stills from the character intro. The Bumblebee one is definitely from the intro.

Interesting that they're going with the original character and faction names this time around, too.

Noticed that too. Ever since the first film, they've been skewing away from the traditional Japanese names in some of their franchises.

Obviously I have no clue what the Japanese text says, but it does seem odd promoting ROTF and TFA together, particularly the two incarnations of Optimus Prime. I can't help wondering if they're going to do something crazy like retcon TFA into the Movie universe or something just as... Japanese. Animated may turn out to be not be quite the same in Japan as it was in the US. A/E/C differed from their Japanese counterparts, sometimes in very small ways, sometimes in big giant black vortex ways; likewise Beast Wars wasn't quite the same either. There's nothing to say they might not be changing some aspects of Animated.

    I guess we'll see...

This does seem to solidify Animated as a worthwhile continuity. I realize it may be something of a filler line for them, and it's not like Japanese approval is required to legitimize it, but does say, hey, we've really got something here. I just wonder the reaction to the fact it's already over. Still, it has the potential to give the continuity more legs, not as the frequently wailed "season 4", but in other ways. Who knows - Japanese-produced Animated Neo? :D

Watch the Japanese toys get "better" paint apps and more screen-accurate details!

Sadly, square-head Optimus Prime is there too. That one piece of terrible art just won't go away.

You really know if Japan 'legitimizes' Animated if they try to do some wierd-ass shoehorning in to their "everything is G1" continuity.

In the remote chance that Animated became a big hit in Japan, I could see them doing a new series - totally anime-ized and missing the point of the series that spawned it. :)

There was a point other than selling toys and making G1 homages? :D
