We don't have confirmation yet, but we are hoping that it is coming. It is likely to come out at the end of this year, but no confirmation yet.

I'm sure they'll release it either at the end of this year or sometime next year.

That would definatley come out after the Season 3 DVD, though.

Or it could come out first to get people to buy the seasons they own yet again.

Either way, I'm looking forward to actually owning the complete series, joining BW as the only other complete TF series I own.

Hasbro apparently has *some* of the rights now, since they're showing/have showed the cartoon on the Hub - maybe we'll get that Season 3 release after all.

Which could be cool, since the Hub is showing it in HD Widescreen. Weren't the DVD versions cropped?

Hopefully Paramount will sell the DVD rights to Shout! Factory and the latter company could release the complete series in one box set.

Hasbro has always had all the rights, as confirmed by Derrick J Wyatt on twitter a while ago. They own it completely.

If that is the case, I have to wonder why they didn't release it with the others. They have to know how many fans love the series.

No, they only know how much fans bitched and complained about the designs and didn't give the show a chance.

There are still actually people out there who refuse to give Beast Wars a chance too.

Half the problem with the designs was that whoever they contracted out to do the animation apparently didn't know what a model sheet was.

I have no problem with the designs; they're clearly supposed to look a little uneven, that's the style.

Didn't know that, thanks for the info! Then I'm really wondering what's keeping them.

Designs were awesome (in my opinion the best TF designs ever), but like RKillian pointed out, the animation was at times pretty terrible, which hurts the overall look. I stopped counting the amount of times they totally butchered Optimus' face or made an action look deformed and awkward. :lol

Just compare this show to the new Scooby Doo. Art direction from that one is also by Derrick Wyatt, and the styles are really similar. Yet that show looks a lot better in my opinion, simply because it seems the animation studio that did that did a better job (or had more budget).

Jup, love that as well. Unfortunately, it doesn't stop some people who don't dig it from attacking the show for it, coming up with the super unoriginal 'argument that 'a five year old could draw it'.

I would love an official season three release! I've made my own DVD set using files that someone had uploaded to Megaupload years ago and they're fine, but nothing would beat an official release.

And the show was animated in widescreen? Oh how I'd *love* anamorphic widescreen re-releases of the first two seasons.

Yeah, whole show was done in HD and widescreen.

So I want a blu-ray release of the whole series.

Any hope for this release? I suspect that with the passage of time, a release becomes less likely.
