We almost got Prowl in G1 colors.

This is a case where I prefer the non G1 colors.

Interesting. Especially seeing that they had at one point planned to have him keep his basic color scheme from G1. Personally, I'm happy with the design we got in the end. Not the best toy, but good enough for a buy.

Nice concept art. I kinda like the G1-inspired black and white version, but I understand why they went with the black and gold instead. Cool stuff.

Hmmm very interesting to see the transition from the G1 look to now concept.

I'm glad they stuck with the final product.

nice to see him in his samurai armor :)

Niceee....and its cool to see that the last version of Prowl did end up being used for the show...Samurai Prowl, but I wouldnt mind seeing that first verison of Prowl in the G1 colors....maybe they can still use it as a evolve form later on.

Be nice to see a prowl in G1 colors as a repaint down the line.

I don't really like the intermediate one, but both the final and initial "g1" versions are cool in my eyes.

The first design kind of looks like Prowl if he were to get an Elite Guard upgrade.

and Wyatt needs to update his blog with this kind of stuff more often.

"Here's peek into the early development of Prowl. Even from before I was brought on to TFA, it had been decided that the new version of Prowl was going to be a motorcycle."

plus he only has two wheels. On his shoulders.

Thank god we didn't get the first, Black 'n' gold Prowl looks alot better, this is why I like Wyatt man, he sure got some nice ideas that translate well to the paper.

Yeah wow. O_O I recall Derrick mentioning at Botcon (paraphrasing badly here, as always :D ) that he'd been doing his own Transformers art for ages before he worked on Animated.

Didn't the mention Blitzwing was supposed to have three faces a long time ago too?

The whole thing is probably in production since 2002 or something.
