    Whenever, hopefully not never. :)

possible speculative guess would be early 2010, if not a little earlier. The logic being with TF:A reruns currently off the air, Hasbro might try to push Cartoon Network to have the season 3 DVD available around the time the new toys should be in stores, for a little cross-promotion.

I'm sure they'll have it out on DVD sometime in 2010.

I hate to rain on people's parade (I WANT THIS SHOW ON DVD TOO!!!!) but canceled shows have a hard time finding its way to DVD. The last season of Legion of Superheroes still isn't on DVD, and I think it was canceled in 2006.

Not to mention what happened with Gargoyles. Disney's all "look, here's the first season and half of season 2. Enjoy cause that's all you get. EVAR!!" Bitches.

I have higher hopes for S3 of Animated though.

Well it IS already listed on Amazon, so I think it's fairly likely it will be coming. Sure there's still a possibility it won't, but the chances are looking pretty good so far.

    *sigh*

The Amazon listing does give us a glimmer of hope, but it's still such a Primus Damned shame that Animated was shoved over so violently for the return of the movieverse and that massively bloated piece of crap called ROTF.

All those potential Animated toys like Dirt Boss, Omega Supreme, Spittor and maybe even the Rock Lords have been kicked to the wayside in favor of all of the ever-so-exciting characters like Breakaway and Knockout.

I'm very much at the risk of running on a massive tirade about how absolutely uninterested I am in the movieverse, but I will throw this out there: they're all just so damn boring. It's either a plane or a car or another car, or maybe a tank, or maybe another car, or a motorcycle...or a car. Did I mention a car?

Animated, in keeping with its wonderfully varied palette of concepts and characters, born, of course, from a deliberately kid-oriented show, had cars, planes, dinosaurs, giant bugs, dump trucks, and guitar-birds! Hell. Freaking. Yes.

But oh NOOOOOOOOOOO, we can't have that. No sir. Because bright colors and dinosaurs, as spoken by our apparent Lord, Savior and Fuhrer Michael Bay, are gay and for gay little kids and gay little kids' toys. "I'll throw some stereotypes at them and they'll be happy," the Bay decrees. "Oh, and chins are gay. My Transformers don't have chins," says the Mighty Bay. "They're too extreme for chins. They don't even have faces! They're that extreme!"

Or the panther, the scorpion, the helicopter, the mantis like thing, soda machine bot, the kitchen, the freakin garbage disposal sharkticon! C'mon you can't tell me that wasn't some instant win right there.

I love animated. I like the movies but I definately loved animated more.

I just noticed on amazon that Transformers Animated DVDs have been discontinued. Does anyone have any more concrete information about the future of this series on DVD? Will there be a box set containing the whole series?

Nooo, they can't discontinue them yet! I don't have any! D:

Guess this rumor's extra incentive to go pick them up like I've been meaning to.

I've been meaning to as well, but I keep holding out for the promise of a full set containing all three seasons. Is this a far fetched dream?
