Just got my Bulkhead in the mail today and took some pics for everybody on the boards to check out. I really did not know what to expect when I opened the box and took him out. The first thing I wanted to know is how he was able to stand being so top heavy and there is no problems at all. The second thing I noticed was the switches on the arm. The left Arm has a trigger that is not spring loaded but works on pressure. The harder you pull on the trigger the faster the palm rocket will fly out. The right arm has a spring loaded punch action when activated.

It also has some of the automated transformation that Hasbro tried to put in the movie toys. When you let the tail gate down the arms swing into place by spring action.

Articulation is not as bad as you might think and overall its a nice start to my Animated Collection. Enjoy the Images!

They should have named him Fat Bastard instead of Bulkhead.

Okay, from what Eric said at Botcon these things are supposed to be able to do the poses on the show, so just -how- articulated is it?

Honestly, how can you even tell without having this toy in-hand? I would wait to see it in package before everybody goes and just sticks a POS tag on this toy.

This figure is the only one in the line with limits to the articulation. The others are as explained at BotCon

I like him. I like any TF who has a slightly quirky "odd" design, with Crumplezone being a firm favourite. Looks like Bulkhead won't fail to impress. Thanks for the review!

Bulkhead is the reason I'm staying 95% away from this line.

They said at BotCon there would no "gimmicks" with this line. Why does he have an automorph feature?

That's a stupid thing to say. If you don't like him, don't buy him, but useing him as an excuse not to buy a line with many fine figures makes no sense. If he made up 95% of the line, then it would make sense.

I'm not overly thrilled with Bulkhead, knowing full-well the size difference of the characters, I beleive it was a bad move on Hasbro's part to restrict the line to just Voyagers and Deluxes. That aside, I do like him, and it's nice to see just how surprisingly accurate he is in both modes.

Mabye because it's not automorph? Transformers had the "Automorph" in them before the movie line and still were'nt advertised with it. For example, Downshift.

Then don't buy it. Destro was nice enough to show pics and describe a figure that some of us are looking forward to, and this thread could probably gone without people crapping on it.

Thanks Destro, your work is appreciated.

Still don't like him (from what I've seen that is). Not to say anything against the animated line, because I think it looks great...he's just one of..very few figures I've seen from it I'm not really digging.

How's the transformation on him? I'm really curious how this line is going to pull them off.
