lol at the description of the "wars" within the Transformers fandom...so true!
Animated keeps shaping up to be a really intriguing series, just over a week 'til it's premier.

Loved what the article says about the series to come, and love the conclusion to it.

Bumblebee being Hot Shot isn't surprising. Had the movie not come about, I think Hot Shot would have been more recognizable among kids. The female Red Alert is surprising, though.

I just want to say that I had a female cop car named Red Alert back when RID was coming out.

    That is all.

Man, they nearly killed the show for me from the beginning. Hot Shot represents too many bad memories of the past number of years. I wouldn't have even bothered with it anymore.

Very interesting article, I'm glad they changed Bulkhead from a crusty veteran to the lovable lug character he is now. I think he'll work better like that and with Ratchet taking the old timer role.

More intersted in hearing that Screamer et al aren't actually on Earth as the show starts, if they're meant to be the core decepticon cast then they'll have to show up pretty soon.

Interesting bits about the genesis of the Autobot team.

Behind the scenes stuff always interests me.

This is definetly shaping up to be a pretty good series just from the sound of it. I'm definetly going to record the premier on DVD, and possibly all 26 additional episodes.

I'm interested in getting clarification on this, as far as exact their leadership roles.

Very well-written article IMHO... I gotta quote that one line because it is so true.

Translation: 'SHUT UP LOSER INTERNET NERDS, THIS SHOW ISN'T FOR YOU SO STFU. No one cares about your childhood's innocence.'

    Good for him.

I have to agree with the Hot Shot idea above. My son absolutely LOVES Hot Shot and has since the first time he saw him on Armada!!! Not sure what the appeal is but they must be tapped into something right!!! Now after the movie its Bumblebee but either name for that character seems to works on kids 6-11.

Sounds like UM=Military leader while SP=Political leader.

SP rules the country/planet while UM wages the war against Decepticons...

Except they havn't got any decepticons to fight, they were defeated in the "great war" apparently. I'm betting that Sentinel Prime is some kind of arrogant show off war hero who pushes Prime around because Prime failed the academy etc.

Yeah, but I hate being painted with that brush, you know? I really, really don't like the character designs, but am willing to try the show. I guess I'm some idiot asshole on the internet, whining about the desecration of his childhood, right?

I know that's not what was said, but that's how I feel, sometimes, in this fandom. If you don't like something, you're instantly some schmuck who fears change.
