Good series but like beast wars transformers, rid animated is heavy on comedy with some child like humor

I loved this show. It aired the day before my birthday that year. It was the best present ever. I remember watching it with my girlfriend at the time, it was the reason she got into the brand.

No offense but if you still like Transformers past the age of 8 you aren't allowed to make this joke.

I think if the series was more accessible today (on Netflix/streaming or a Blu-Ray release) people would have an opportunity to watch it and appreciate it more. But it’s not for everyone, I get that.

Dynamic characters, competent threats, but still fun and not too heavy. The backstory of Prowl, Ratchet and Lockdown is enough for a stand-alone series.

Absolutely loved reading this. I came late into the Transformers game. I belong to the 2007 Movie/TFP Era. But it's so amazing to read about the past. Thank you, @Sol Fury.

Man, everything about this show was great and stuff like the Allspark Almanac makes the show even better. Season 4 would be nothing but a dream come true.

Man... this was one of my favorite shows at the time. I was only 6, but this show is what got me into Transformers. I remember waking up to new episodes every weekend, getting introduced to new characters that I had never seen before. It was just a really fun show. I remember my Dad would also surprise me with new figures from the Animated series. My favorite character was always Grimlock, I still have his figure too. I really wish they would bring it back since the live action movies have died down now, but with the new Bumblebee movie, I don\'t know if it would be good timing (depending on if people even want live action movies anymore)

Well, what can I say that hasn't already been said? Animated was easily my favorite TF show and the only one I've gone near-completist on.

If Hasbro REALLY wanted to make a successful webseries for older audiences they should get someone who actually knows how to write a series to make an Animated continuation (y'know, like the older fans have actually been asking for) and a few waves of a Generations sub-line to tie in with it. Heck, they could almost re-release several existing toys, but then again the budget might get in the way...

It probably wont happen but one can dream.

Your username is appropriate because you completely missed the point of the show.

Aww man. My heart just ached in both good and sad ways reading that. Beautiful work Sol.

So much to be said. The personalities, the characters, the designs, the themes, the action, the comedy, and above all the heart. The love of the mythos shining through in everything. So often, the Animated design of the character if not the character themself is the definitive version of the character for me.

Every episode is so damn good that I can't even make a top 10 list anymore. Thrill of the Hunt is definitely number one and one of the best Transformers episodes ever. Best moment in the series is Ratchet opening up to Optimus. But my favorite moment in the series is probably Sari finally crying to Bumblebee and Bulkhead who assure her she's safe and they're here for her.

    Top 10 Animated moments:

    1. Ratchet opening up to Optimus
    2. Sari crying to Bee and Bulkhead
    3. "My NAME is Optimus Prime!"
    4. "There are no more secrets in this family."
    5. The many deaths of Starscream
    6. Optimus' death and revival
    7. Team Athenia vs Team Charr
    8. Omega Supreme transforms
    9. Wasp catches Bumblebee (Where Is Thy Sting)
    10. Prowl's sacrifice

This was the TF show that got me back in the TF universe at full force in the first place and for that it still remains to have a place in my heart for that. :)

Transformers: Animated - the series and toyline I'd actually intended to skip. I mean, Young Optimus? Motorbike Prowl? Maintainence crew Team Prime? Only five Autobots (at least to begin with)? A Movie-wannabe (or so I thought) cartoon series?

I watched the first episode by chance and was hooked for life. TF: Animated stuff shot to the top of my priority list. Before long I was buying most of the toys (except Lugnut and Blackout who were just too tiny).

Probably one of my biggest disappointments was that we never got an Animated Omega Supreme.

Now then, I wonder if Hasbro intends to do anything for the 10th anniversary?
