Best Transformer series ever. (IMHO of course)

Only Rescue Bots has come close to capturing the same heart that Animated had and even then, it's a completely different series.

As a G1-er...I\'ll say this about Animated. I love(d) it. I really miss it, and there will never be another!

Happy Birthday, TFA! Still the best Transformers show, edging out even Beast Wars and Prime for me.

yeah between the hub network and the toyline running late and hadbro working on the movies at the time

why the hell did Hasbro up and abandon transformers animated anyways? like its the unloved red haired step child of the mythos for how Hasbro mistreated it at the time originally

As much as I love Armada, Animated is by far my favorite version of Transformers.  A shame it got axed so soon.  I\'d love for at least one more season to be made.  Tie up loose ends.  (I\'d also love for that triple changer megatron toy to be released)

    Two reasons.

    1) Cartoon Network was partnered with Hasbro in making Animated and thus needed to be consulted for everything. CN also loved to put Animated in very bad time slots (something it continued to do with RID) and generally didn't do as good a job hosting the show as Hasbro would have liked for its own properties. The planning for the Hub solved the problems, but again CN owned part of the rights to the series so Animated couldn't be transfered over.

    2) Revenge of the Fallen was coming out eventually and having Transformer lines compete with themselves generally doesn't bode well (I.E. Universe 2.0 Ratchet was an end of line figure in 2008 and thus very hard to find at retail, because he couldn't be put in the line sooner. That reason? Animated Ratchet was a wave 2 release for the Animated toyline). Animated was cut short in order to make room for ROTF taking over as the franchise flagship series, and while the movie is garbage, the toyline was truly the beginning of a gold standard in toy engineering.

Animated and the Bay movies were what I grew up with as a kid, and TFA was what got me so into Transformers in the first place. My first ever figure was the one of Optimus in his Cybertron mode from the episode that Elita One was in! TFA will always have a special place in my heart, both the toyline and the show itself! I wish Hasbro would have stuck with the Activators instead of going with the One-Step/Turbo Changers too. :D  I LOVED those as a kid! I still have the Activators Bumblebee and deluxe Ratchet in my collection, but sadly those are the only two figures that haven’t mysteriously disappeared... :redface2:  Not to mention I managed to nab a Soundblaster at SLCC a couple years back!

I admit at first looking at the character designs was weird for me after the 2007 movie.

But after watching the show and following on, I loved the execution of what it was trying to accomplish.

Also both the Japanese and American theme song are just sweet.

Happy Birth Day TF Animated! Hasbro and Takara may have seemed to forgotten, but we sure haven't. I love this show to no end. Its one of the secondary shows that got me into transformers. After Beast Wars had introduced me and sunken me in, it was this show that grabbed me by the face and took me in for the long run. The cartoon was spectacular and the toy line was top notch in almost every way. I'm gonna have to re watch it soon. Just hearing the theme song is getting me emotional.

The biggest tragedy here is they never made Omega Supreme.

ya kind of a waste because they could’ve done at least one Lugnut Supreme repaint too! ;)
