on top of Star Wars? I dunno about that. I mean TFs is awesome but NOTHING can beat Star Wars. (The original trilogy anyway)

Any movie ranking list online is very much skewed towards new releases and whatever is "hot" at the time.

Let me preface this by saying that I found the movie entertaining and had a good time seeing it...

but, good grief thats a lame list. Nothing pre-1980's is even on the list. Where's "Patton", "Ben-Hur"-the list could go on and on before getting to the movie they have ranked #1 on that "list"..

I've got to agree - with all due credit the Mr Bay + co. to claim that this film beats every star wars movie, movies like blade runner, and the usual susspects is crazy. But I imagine that paramounts publicity dept are very happy about it.

I definately must agree with Shawshank Redemption being #1 and LOTR ROTK #2. Personally I would put The Departed #3 and Transformers something like #6

I'm with llamatron on this one. As much as I liked TF, considering some of the other choices on that list I don't think it'd even rate in my top 10. I'd put Raiders, Star Wars, Casablanca, PotC: Curse of the Black Pearl, Braveheart, and possibly The Incredibles over TF.

But then again, that's just my opinion... your mileage may vary. :thumb

I doubt they're referring to profits. E.T. and Titannic (among others) would also be way up there as they raked in some major bling themselves.

I'd put Casino Royale somewhere on that list but then again that's just MY lonely ass opinion. The reason being is that Casino Royale was based off the FIRST James Bond book so it was an instant classic IMHO.

Star Wars ESB and ANH will always be #1 & #2 on my list, simply because I don't see anything ever unseating my childhood adventure movies :)

    My list is

    1. Star Wars: ESB
    2. Star Wars: ANH
    3. The Godfather 1
    4. The Godfather 2
    5. Spiderman 1
    6. Transformers
    7. Spiderman 3
    8. LOTR: Two Towers
    9. LOTR: The Fellowship
    10: 007 Casino Royale

    11. Raiders of the Lost Ark
    12. Pirates OTC
    13. Batman Begins
