News Post: Transformers: Dark Of The Moon Video Game Covers
fairly uninspired covers... much like all movie game covers I guess
honestly I didn't have high hopes for this game and so far no amount of media has shock off the movie game stigma so aside from what looks like a free RPM its a skip from me
Prime looks bad-ass. So nothing new.
Sweet. Speed Stars Lockdown. Could Lockdown be playable in the DS decepticons game given that choice?
That wii cover has a detailed stealth forced bumblebee on it. Got to like that. I think I'm going to play all of these.
The covers for the DS and PS3 versions look great! Can't wait to get my hands on them!
I hope they release photos of the "three chassis" that you can chose from soon.I already know they are prob. light, medium, and heavy. Also you can tell the same studio for war for cybertron did this game, sounds exactly like it according to the info.lol
High Moon/Activision are still using the wrong model for Optimus Prime, even on the cover. He lacks the new torso design (and probably the elbow armour arms). In game, the DOTM Bumblebee car transforms into the ROTF Bumblebee robot mode made by Luxoflux.
Yeah, it sounds exactly like WFC but with the movie bots. I was afraid of this. At this point the only thing I like is character customization, that reminds me of the first DS game. Verdict: Wait till it is reviewed, then decide to buy it or not.
Hey look, both the Wii and 3DS versions say "VEHICLE COMBAT GAME" with no robot mode.
Gimmicky consoles result in dodgy third party games? I am shocked.
Yeah, as hopeful as I was for a 3DS Transformer game, I'm not touching it if it's a rail vehicle shooter.
Technically this game takes place before DotM, so any updates to the models coul theoretically happen between the game and the movie.
But I see your point.
Wonder why those chose to put car pieces in Shockwave's hands ... I don't like that. Should have just left him as is. Love the PS3 cover though.
Won't bother buying it. Another dull campaign with another cookie cutter multiplayer equals another forgettable game.
Wii is good when you buy good games for it. 3DS, on the other hand, sacrificed cost and battery life for 3D and has no games so far so I'll give you that for now.
Don't blame the console for the terrible third party games.
is it just the angle or does Optimus not have his abs in that picture? If he doesn't, does this perhaps imply that he gets them during the course of the game or after?
EDIT: whoops just noticed the above posts
STEALTH FORCE ENGAGED!!!!
I wasn't going to say "hey, wrong Optimus model" but then I remembered that it was a prequel.
Hey, I posted this info yesterday in the video game thread, news credit please? LOL
I'm still looking forward to it. There are a lot of things that I don't like the looks of thus far, like single character levels, and the demo looks a lot like an arena battle where you strafe and shoot until clear, but I enjoyed many parts of WFC, so hopefully it will be fun.
Prime have his Movie 1 and 2 look in the game aswell
But the problem is, they went to the trouble of modelling all the characters that we have seen* to appear as they do in DOTM (eg, Ironhide has one of the big guns strapped on his back from last week's movie trailer in this game). Bumblebee has his DOTM vehicle mode, complete with all the prop vehicle modification and faux carbon fibre effect on his stripes... all of which disappears (judging by footage and screen shots they have released thus far) when he transforms in this game. Less obvious with Prime since his truck mode is the same as always, but his robot mode still uses the 2007/ROTF design. It's possible that the final build of the game has fixed all of this (earlier screen shots and the trailer showed them using generic Autobots and Decepticons from the ROTF game, but recent screen shots and footage have used entirely new designs instead. But who knows).
*Not sure about Sideswipe, though, as we haven't seen him transform in the game yet, and we have no images of his DOTM movie robot mode.
Yeah! It looks awesome! Can't wait for it to come out for PS3!
