News Post: Transformers: Dark Of The Moon Theatrical Trailer Available For MY3D
Never heard of this device, but that's pretty nice. One small complaint though: an iPod or iPhone screen is terribly small, so the added coolness of seeing 3D is very, tiny..OH GOD there is a fish swimming into my eye!!
Thanks NIB, I'll check this out. Consider one thing Dig, the screen on the iphone4 is hires and looks amazing, even up close, so this might look great. I wish that they would release the trailer on 3DS.
Is this 3D thing any good? I saw them at Target for something like $30 and I was intrigued.
Oh, the screen definitely looks great, but the wow-effect of 3D is still kind of lost because of the size. It would be like looking into a small show-box, right?
Still nifty, though.
I'll give you guys an opinion on it. I was on the fence about it, but the 3D freak in me + DOTM trailer convinced me. Hopefully Hasbro supports it.
I'd be interested in this if you didn't need an iphone.
How the F is an IPhone 4 3D??
The iPhone 4 is not 3D. The software/videos are pumped out with an image for each eye, and this attachment filters each image to the respective eye. It's a viewfinder with a videro screen attached to it instead of a slideshow.
Me too. This makes it seem less likely.
That is the dumbest looking thing I've seen in awhile.
Probably because this attachment is a Hasbro product.
yeah, that's what I mean. If they're using transformers to sell this, it would give them an incentive to keep it exclusive, at least initially.
Gotta admit, if they released a portable 3D version of the movie (and assuming that Bay's 3D was better than most converted shit), I would bite.
I don't think I'd want to watch a whole movie that way, but it'd be cool to have the battle scenes and eye-candy shots.
like the ol' viewfinders that just showed clips from star wars and such, yeah.
Not sure where the trailer is.
Seems like this device would completely block off your ability to touch the screen...
So I guess you have to start a clip then slap this thing on before it get's good, and then mash it into your face... And if you need to pause or rewind it you have to rip the thing off of your iOS device to get at the controls to do so.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't play too many games in which I don't have to actually touch my iPhone. (the Hasbro copy states "premium entertainment and gaming experiences"). Though watching someone try to play a racing game with only tilt control with this thing smashed into their face would be hilarious.
Would look like a dork wearing that.
No, it doesn't work that way. There are holes under the device, about where your thumbs go. They slide in and there are touch controls there to navigate the menu and confirm selections. The application tells you when to stick the machine in the device. And you can still mess with it when it's out. It's not like it turns into a different language or anything, you simple see double of everything on the iphone screen.
I didn't see the transformers trailer, but there are some TF-Prime 3D models that look pretty sweet. The thing is, I'm going to experiment with some of the videos, because I think I can output them to my 3D TV and just use the manual 3D feature to watch these things full screen, lol
