That's kind of short for a summer blockbuster.

That would certainly be ... considerably shorter, if true, which could be either good or bad, all depending on how its handled.

Of course, I've seen web site listings for movie runtimes be considerably off in the past.

Pathe Cinema is kind of a reliable source. But, we'll see for sure...

Why is there only the dutch release info? I mean thanks since I'm from the Netherlands, but I think others would like to know as well (for those that don't yet).

That's good to hear. Sounds like it'll move at a brisk pace.

Maybe they decided to show more robot elements, thus spending more money and time on creating, rendering, animated, etc etc, so the movie as a whole is shorter, but it will be packed with more of what we like.

Didn't the first and second movies clock in around 143 and 147 respectively? Could be good or bad, though there were a lot of things in the first two movies that could have been edited down (like the entire hacker plotline from TF1) to streamline things a bit.

Shorter running time= more screenings= more tickets sold

I'd hope for a longer version on DVD

If this is accurate, then I'm not exactly sure what I think of this. Granted, the story will probably still move along nicely.

But it's still kind of odd if true - I mean, each of the previous two were nearly two-and-a-half hours long.

Sounds good to me. It looks like they have cut out all the extra crap that plagued the first two movies and are getting right to the action with DotM.

ROTF was long and it was shit. Hopefully being faster will make it less boring than ROTF.

Good, Ifind that Blockbusters of late are just getting too long.... This just shows us either a) Bay really didn't bother filming that much or b) The film is going to be sharp and to the point. Hoping for the latter

Glad to hear this in a way. The first film would have benefitted from a bit of a running time shave (i'm looking at you, scenes featuring Teddy from Hang-Time) and Revenge of the Fallen had some serious flab that needed trimming. Micheal bay did comment that Dark of the Moon Was lean and mean. Can we take from this that it features a transforming grilling machine?
