I don't care. If it is released in 3D I'll see it in both formats just to compare them, but I've been monumentally underwhelmed by 3D so far.

I'm a big fan of 3D, and I agree with him here.

If you're going to release a film in 3D, do it right. Shoot it in 3D.

Otherwise it's little different from colourising Black and White films. But I don't agree that shooting in 3D takes an Avatar-length production schedule. That's just James Cameron.

Very nice to see Bay cares about the quality of 3D.

I'm not exactly a fan of Micheal Bay's attitude and methods, but I agree. If you are going to do it, do it right.

Eh, won't bother me one bit if it's not released in 3D. Even if it would be, I'd still see it in 2D instead. Very few movies, imo, have ever gained anything by being in 3D. Only movies coming out in the next couple years I might see in 3D are Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1&2. Though even then I'm still going to see them in 2D anyways.

I hope Bay sticks to his guns on this one, but when you consider that the studio pressured him into skipping his year off, I figure they may just pressure him into the conversion as well.

At least Bay won't make us have to see our lunches again when TF3 comes to theatres.

I honestly think that 3D is a gimmick and doesn't really add anything to film in the way that sound and color do. I really don't understand the obsession with it and consider it a waste of effort.

But, I'm 20/10 in one eye and 20/40 in the other, so what do I know?

I'm glad. 3D is a gimmick I find is more distracting than astounding.

Good. The sooner that "3-D" gimmick dies off, the better.

I agree. I also like how he kind of acknowledged the negative criticism, but stated his films are "technically sound."

Really don't understand the "3D is a gimmick" argument. It's just another way to make movies more in line with how we normally perceive things. If 3D is a gimmick, then so is color.

This man clearly knows what he's doing. I'm glad that Hasbro handed the Transformers movie project to him. I can't see 3D, But I wish I could. Never-the-less, I don't like things being shoved at my face deliberately and unnecessarily....
