Given the request for 33 military men to be fitted for NEST uniforms, I'd guess this is a big, major battle, and given the National Mall is a pretty distinctive location, it looks like the fight is going all the way to the capital.

Maybe not needing the extras? The Facebook request is for extras on those days so they're definitely filming those three, no reason why they wouldn't just be using the main cast those days.

From my experience filming TF3 over at KSC this past week, 25-33 NEST soldiers isn't that out of the ordinary. From what I saw in the scenes I was in with them, there were usually about that many present, and then depending on the scene, they may have some of them step out. Its usually more about having a lot of people present, this way if Bay decides he wants more people, they have them available, and they've been through hair, makeup and props, being safe rather than sorry. The first day I filmed, there about 100 extras, and in any given scene, they only used maybe 20 or so.

Cool! I hope this means that we'll get the climactic scene set at night this time (or in the case of bay movies, from day, to dusk, THEN night in the space of about 30 seconds!).

Remember that it was said that something bad happened to America? What if this is the opening scene or an early one and the 'Cons attack D.C. and destroy the place... maybe even killing some high level Cabinet members. (probably not the president, because it's Obama)

This pushes people over the edge, hence the "Autobots, go home!" Galloway will probably release this theory to the public over a national news channel and he will persuade the people to think this way.
