    Simply amazing.

I can't believe how utterly DENSE those pages are. SO MANY continuity throwbacks and nods.

Heck - I love the black hole tech spec reference joke. Best bit of the preview.

I haven't been following since Escaltion but this looks pretty good. Hopefully the rest of the story is as good.

Wow, this looks fantastic! The scenes in the past are great, and Milne is absolutely rocking the art. Can't wait!

My eyes. Is that a reference to Megs interdimensional anti-matter black hole power?

First issue in a while that I've been interested in.

    All hail Roberts.

you know, I think I might jump back on the comics properly now they're showing continuity and bringing links in from all over the place. I think this must be the first time we've seen megatron origins being part of regular IDW continuity.

Roberts needs to be on writing for transformers ongoing permanently. Those 5 pages have been more entertaining than most of the ongoing run.

I've starting picking up again a few issues ago, I didn't have interest at first. But this, this is good stuff right here.

Not that I doubt the Roberts, but I hope there's a story underneath all those layers of fanwank.

Shit, that was one of the best reads I've had in a while.

I really do love the way IDW portrays Megatron before the Decepticons rose to their current status. They way he acts and speaks makes you believe he would have been a great Autobot.

Wow. That's pretty fantastic. I may actually buy this as long as they don't put Costa on the next issue.

Heh. Whirl asks Megatron to join the Wreckers, he refuses and they instead recruit Impactor.

Also first real appearance of Rung, the Autobot psychiatrist who wrote up all the Wrecker's profiles in Last Stand of the Wreckers.

This whole thing is just loaded with Wrecker references, so maybe we'll finally found out where Impactor and Guzzle ran off to.

QFT. Why couldn't the ongoing have been this good from the beginning? Sooooo much missed potential. :(

Because we need to be bogged down with more pointless stories about uninteresting human characters being dicks?

Like I said before when people were getting down on Drift because he's a Mary Sue, I think Spike holds that position higher than anyone else in the history of IDW comics. Apart from the fact he's unlikable of course, that would be his flaw.
