I'm a bit confused about something, maybe I missed it if they explained it somewhere. But what did Optimus whisper to Bumblebee?

He basically told him that Spike is probably a hypocritical murdering doucebag and Prowl needs to investigate it.

I really enjoyed this issue, and I REALLY enjoyed Prowl's manner of monologing and his speech in it, reminds me of a Noir Detective.

Megatron told him in issue 18 to break his spirit. You might want to actually read the Revenge of the Decepticons arc :p

Yeah I skipped all the ones that didn't have Hot Rod in them. Thanks!

Meh. Read it and felt that it was a set up for things to come, so there's not much to say. Not sure how I feel about the unusual narration style that was used for a couple pages though.

He told him, "This book is terrible. I don't know why people keep buying it."

    j/k. of course.

So story plots are being driven by whispers that no one can read? Isn't that like 1960's comic story-telling?

What Prime told Bumblebee was what Megatron told him back in issue 18. There was no real need to restate what followers of the comic already know. I can understand confusion on the part of people that may not have read previous arcs but given Chaos is supposed to be the culmination of what Costa has been working on I think it's fair to say you probably need an understanding of what came before to get the best experience out of it.

And since when did Optimus Prime buy in to what Megatron tells him?

It just reeks of bad story-telling to me, I'm sorry.

I went back and reread the previous issues and still didn't see how you could know for sure that's what Prime was saying. I mean you can make the assumption, but I guess it's one of those "you'll find out eventually" type of things.

Megatron has succeeded in putting doubt in Prime's mind about his philosophy on humans, and by consequence on everything. Prime is acting on that doubt by having an investigation done on the matter. Whether or not you think it's good storytelling Prime thinks it's plausible Megatron has told the truth that is what has happened, and what will lead into The Last Earth Story.

Considering Prime's awful decision-making throughout the ongoing, I'm not surprised to see him buying into whatever line Megatron's trying to sell him.

Well the great thing is that Megatron IS telling the truth, and at least in the case of Spike he is RIGHT. That's one of the things that interests me about Costa's run.

Didn't enjoy this issue as much as the last, but was pretty good for setting up the "big" Chaos event. Though, I definitely loved the Prowl story, because it seemed as Costa was acknowledging Prowl's more covert nature during Roche/Robert's LSOTW series. Also, I'm not sure if bringing Megs to space may help...possibly foreshadowing a future Galvy vs Megs fight?

Will be interesting to see how this all pans out, given that Galvatron believes he's fighting "a greater evil" Optimus is not fully aware of yet.

As usual, Guido shines, and newcomer, Cahill's work is a welcome addition.

Is it just me or is Hasbro really trying to shove the Rodimus name down our throats

I think if memory serves , megatron recovered scrappers corpse from skywatch where prime was . Prime no doubt saw the unconventional way he was killed which would make scense if spike killed him ( I'm inferring all this ) . ( I also think the issue where scrapper was killed was the worst transformers issue I have ever read) ( I also like to use brackets apperently ).
